And you say that no matter what we do God loves us and accepts us and forgives us our sins? Have you read the old testament?????????? that is NOT what the bible says dude. if that were true then who goes to hell? why are there 10 commandments? whats the purpose of that?

If we are to understand sin and why we need to repent, then we need to know and understand the law - the Ten Commandments. Once we do that then we can understand why Jesus Christ died for us and how we are saved by grace.

"You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important. Love your neighbour as yourself. All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40

Religion has nothing to do in the end with God and accepting the Supreme Being thing. I don't go so far as to ascribe beingness to the Supreme, but religion to me is a well to draw social structures from, powered by acceptance of something more than self.
No religion has ever not left me with an impression that silly people got carried away with the whole God is all around you thing, and started writing it all down.

The First Commandment is indeed love God,etc, no Snake Women or praying to the Virgin Mothers of some god...but the second is not love your neighbor, and all 10 commandments are equal in importance and are not based on other commandments.You are most definately sanpaku, and need to preach to everyone wherever you go.

No. I am saying that MLK from all outward appearances was the greatest civil rights leader of all time. But his files should have been made public instead of this 50 year delay releasing them. The "canonization" of this man was done without the proper scrutiny just because he was the leader for so many blacks. The holiday in his honor was rammed through to appease a segment of the American people.

Way to twist the scripture to suit your argument and it's not working, God was referring to abiding by his will and specifically the nation of Israel.

The Jews are his chosen people, I am not jewish and I do not have any problem with God deeming the jews as his chosen people and nation.

When Moses came down from the mountain he saw that the Israelites were worshiping false gods and idols he understood the meaning of God's jealosy. God becomes jealous when those he loves commit sins and is meant in a entirely different context that how you are painting it.

You are proving the old saying "that even the devil can quote scripture when it suits his purpose" better than any example I have witnessed in a very long time.

He introduced me to Ringo Starr and Jeff Lynn and Tom Petty. I drank schnapps with Barbara Bach at the Mondrian hotel on Sunset while we listened to Ringo and Jeff and Doug practice harmonies for Ringo's upcoming album he was singing on. Wonderful experience and sadly miss him. His favorite city was Paris and he went every year even when he was sick. On the day he died I was in Paris and got the email that he had passed. Ringo sat and held his hand and sang to him until the end. Very amazing and sad

Doug had a nice little house in Woodland Hills and his pride and joy was his garden. it was honestly beautiful and it's very nice to know that his ashes were scattered in his garden he loved. Before I left for my trip I stopped to see him and Ringo was there and sang "She loves you" to him and they both sang a Randy Newman song together. It is one of my greatest memories and something I'll cherish all of my life.

My parents took us there at least once a month when we lived there.

They make this creamed corn with whipping cream and yorkshire pudding that they serve with their prime rib that is worth flying cross country for. I am glad I found their new location and will definitely hit it up when I am in SoCal the next time.
