What makes medical expensive? Lawyers. Sue the doctors and the manufacturers. How can a doctor keep from losing his business? Pay exorbitant prices for insurance. How do the patients pay for these escalated price? Get insurance. Built into the patients insurance is jumping through hoops. Have a primary to refer to a specialist and run a battery of tests to satisfy the insurance company. Why is this all done? To avoid getting sued.
Tort is the only answer but that will never happen. The politicians are either lawyers or got support to election by lawyers. And what are insurance companies? The middleman lawyers between the plaintiffs and defendants. Tort will reduce the need for many of these lawyers and they can never stand for that.

Lawsuits aren't driving up medical costs, drug prices are.
More lawyers are sued successfully for malpractice than physicians.

Trump says he's not going to leave people who are relying on it in the lurch and it's not going to be repealed until there is a replacement in place. That's your former democrat and populist president who the left for the most part despises.

Insurance needs a reset back to where it was before this law took effect. Republicans are in the exact same position as Obama and the Democrats were when Abomination Care was passed. I'll bet you dollars to donuts they kick the fucking can, even with the opportunity to do whatever the fuck they want.
I long for the day when you can "shop" for your health insurance like you do for your car insurance. I got a hell of a good deal until my last speeding ticket.
