if U.S. healthcare was like buying car insurance - companies competing for my business, I can shop for the lowest rates, they charge based on my risk factors etc., as in no one else is involved but myself, the insurance company and the autobody shop when needed. Why would my employer or the government be involved?
For those who can't afford it, you'd have programs like medicare.
would the above scenario be more cost effective all around?
Explain to me like I'm 5. Because I admit, this stuff makes my eyes roll back into my head when I read up on it.
