The way I see it...this is a FREE site. So what if there's an ad in the corner? Would you all rather pay to be members here??

The point is Rogue, no one would mind just a advert in the corner. But you go anywhere near that thing and you lose quarter of your screen (in my case) with a advert that quickly becomes very boring. I like most the models on that site, but they no matter how gorgeous become annoying when they total your screen the instant you roam near.

I'm not bothered about the odd bit of advertising, but one that totals a lot of your screen is a no. Please change it to just a simple little advert, that if your interested you just click on it.

I use Mozilla Firefox version 1.5.0.6. The thing that makes the problem to me is Quick Time Plug-In 6.5.1.

Just a little box with a video playing in the middle of your screen is annoying as hell. No matter what I did it always remainded the default player of media files in Firefox. Thats why in the end I totally uninstalled it. Now I get no problems at all.:thumbsup:

Yes, I've already got the idea to uninstall QuickTime too. I don't actually use it (I prefer either Windows media player or Winamap) and the problem I described makes me mad! :crash:

It's just an ad, maybe Freeones is having money problems, I dont know, its not risky to click it, though.

I'm also running on 1280x1024 on a 19" LCD screen. But it still covers a quarter of the screen like I said above 4G63.

That's how it's working for me too.



It shouldn't roll out at all as long as you haven't clicked on it. This is what it says when I move my mouse over the add: "Click to activate and use this control" and actually it's working that way for me. Only when I have done that and mouse over it a 2nd time it rolls out again. However as soon as I move on to a new thread or whatsoever it stays in the corner again.

Just let me know which OS, browser version etc you are using and we will look into this. It's not our goal to irritate people. If the ad is really expanding everytime then we have to fix that one way or the other.

If you would have to click to open it that wouldn't bother me but at the moment it is really annoying as it opens when cursor is near.

OK, that probably gets attention. I'd like to share in my opinion that new page opening banner ad in the top right of the board.freeones screen is really annoying. I really move my mouse around a lot I guess and keep scrolling over that banner ad and boom - half my page is constantly filled up with that ad.

I have pop ups blocked but it's not quite a pop up so it still occurs. Just my opinion that kind of ad is really irritating and makes for a very unsatisfactory surfing session on freeones.
