Pop-up thing in the top right corner

Except for a slightly longer loading time when I first logged on today I haven't noticed any difference with it. I'm using IE. It doesn't bother me that much; at least it isn't something I couldn't deal with.

I noticed it jumped out a couple times too, but I must have just been moving the mouse too quickly because I never go to that area anyway except to log off.
Hey, they need to advertise to keep this board and the main site running.

EDIT: NoScript for Firefox doesnt stop it totally, but it doesnt roll over half the page like it used to. Better than nothing, I say.

It shouldn't roll out at all as long as you haven't clicked on it. This is what it says when I move my mouse over the add: "Click to activate and use this control" and actually it's working that way for me. Only when I have done that and mouse over it a 2nd time it rolls out again. However as soon as I move on to a new thread or whatsoever it stays in the corner again.

Just let me know which OS, browser version etc you are using and we will look into this. It's not our goal to irritate people. If the ad is really expanding everytime then we have to fix that one way or the other.

It is immensely annoying - I cannot use Firefox now, because 1/4 of my screen is white with QuickTime icon in the middle - I can't therefore even log in, because I don't know how to remove the trouble! I had to come back to use Microsoft Internet Explorer, which doesn't cause this problem to me, but it's soooo slow! May I expect this pop-up thing to disappear? I would appreciate it very, very much.

Which version of FireFox are you using?

Thank-you for the reply Freeones. I use win XP with yahoo browser 5. The ad opens as soon as I roll over it and collapses as I move my cursor away without any clicking. :crash:

Well, I guess I will be the minority here....it doesn't bother me a bit!

It wouldn't bother me either, if it had been someone with smaller, real tits in the ad. (in other words, don't remove it, just change it!)

Oh, one thing though, if I want to subscribe to a thread, I have to activate the ad first, then move my cursor so it moves back (otherwise it blocks my sbcribe option thingy) to it's corner & then I can subscribe...

I use Mozilla Firefox version 1.5.0.6. The thing that makes the problem to me is Quick Time Plug-In 6.5.1.
