Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
Hey I'm right with ya' I want both the Pens and the Hawks to lose, but I just don't see it happening to either of them given what teams they are playing respectively, and maybe hell has frozen over, maybe I've grown up or something, but I actually respect and think Sidney Crosby is the best in the world, he was out a whole month and just barely missed having the most goals, assists / points etc. I said to myself if he played the whole season he would have crushed everybody! plus all the injuries he's overcome, he has my respect now. I still **** gino though!!
For those who can't come up with the match ups, here's the bracket for people to make their predictions:

Canucks over Sharks in 6 (they're lucky they got the Sharks in the first round; with the exception of the Wild, I think these are the two weakest teams in the West)
Kings over Blues in 7 (I think this will be the best first-round series in the West and maybe the whole NHL)
Penguins over Islanders in 4 (they shouldn't bother even trying to play Crosby in this series unless he's 100%; they are a vastly superior team with or without him)
Canadiens over Senators in 7 (this is the other series that has the potential to be the best in the first round; I'm a little distraught that Ottawa beat Boston yesterday because it meant that they're playing Montreal in the first round, which means that one of the two teams that I wanna see win the most will be out first round; however, I don't blame them for wanting to face les Canadiens rather than the Penguins; it's a much better match-up for them (or anyone) and Montreal really limped into the playoffs; with Erik Karlsson back and Craig Anderson manning the pipes, they have a chance to win this series and maybe even advance to the Finals (especially if Jason Spezza makes a surprise return at some point in the playoffs); even so, I think the heroes (les Canadiens) will come through and get their game going and win the series
Rangers over Capitals in 6 (the Rangers are an extremely dangerous team and their goaltending is vastly superior)
Bruins over Maple Leafs in 7 (I think this'll be a great series; Toronto is a really good team, but they lack the toughness that Boston will throw at them)
Preseason, I picked Kings over Rangers in the Finals, and I'm sticking to that prediction. (And, tooting my own horn a bit, I successfully picked the Stanley Cup winner before the season started two years in a row now, and now I'm trying to make it 3/3). What I would like to see happen, however, is Senators/Canadiens over Blues in the Finals, and if it can't be Senators/Canadiens I would wanna see the Blues win (it's time that they got it done; 45 years with nothing to show for it), followed by the Leafs.
Awards:
Hart Trophy - Alex Ovechkin (WAS) - this team (and Ovechkin) had such a horrid start, and Ovechkin's truly legendary goal-scoring spree coincided with the Capitals exceptional run to the division title. There are other great candidates, such as Sergei Bobrovsky (CBJ), Sidney Crosby (PIT), Jonathan Toews (CHI), and Patrick Kane (CHI), but I think Ovechkin's spectacular goal-scoring trumps them all and he will win the award.
Vezina Trophy - Sergei Bobrovsky (CBJ) - probably the best story of the year, and a little disappointing that they did everything they could and still just missed making the playoffs. Even so, this season has to be considered a huge success.
Calder Memorial Trophy - Jonathan Huberdeau (FLA) - this is my prediction, but I don't think that Huberdeau should win it. Nail Yakupov (EDM) tied him for the league lead in rookie scoring, with three more goals, had a better plus/minus, and scored more goals with taking 31 fewer shots (Yakupov's shooting percentage was a stellar 21.0%!), and did so while averaging 2:22 less playing time per game. And he scored a hat trick in the season finale against the Canucks. I think there are other candidates besides Yakupov who deserve the award more than Huberdeau as well, such as Brendan Gallagher (MON), Cory Conacher (TBL/OTT), and Brandon Saad (CHI). I would mention Justin Schultz (EDM) as well, but his dismal -17 rating is too much to look past.
James Norris Memorial Trophy - P.K. Subban (MON) - Kris Letang (PIT) has a good shot at winning the award as well, but he missed 13 games, and Subban only missed six.
Frank J. Selke Trophy - Pavel Datsyuk (DET) - tied Jonathan Toews for the league lead in takeaways (which seems to be a category that Datsyuk owns), and won 55.0% of his faceoffs. However, I think that Toews should be the winner this year; as I typed, he tied Datsyuk for takeaways, but did so with 22 fewer giveaways, had a stellar 59.9% faceoff win percentage (good for second in the league), tied for second in the league in faceoff wins, and had a better plus/minus (+28 to +21; both fantastic, especially in a shortened season).
Lady Byng Memorial Trophy - Matt Moulson (NYI) - this'll be his second win; he played 47 games (and scored 44 points) and only took two ***** penalties all season! Pavel Datsyuk (DET), Martin St. Louis (TBL), and maybe even Patrick Kane (CHI) might be in the mix as well.
Ted Lindsay Award - Alex Ovechkin (WAS)
Jack Adams Award - Paul MacLean (OTT) - this team lost the best goaltender in the league (at the time of his injury; Craig Anderson), their best forward (Jason Spezza), the league's best offensive defenceman (Erik Karlsson), and their next best forward (Milan Michalek) for long stretches of time and still managed to win games and make the playoffs; this is a great story. Michel Therrien (MON) would be a deserving winner almost any other year, but what MacLean and the Senators did will earn him the award.

I **** bursting anybodies bubbles, and Jagger is gonna **** me, but ME thinks the Blues are gone again in the 1st round. I see the Kings going a long way again maybe even repeating, I think in the end it will either be the Kings or the Hawks making it too the Finals. :yoda:

LOL I'm not going to do any hating MM. In fact, I'd much rather be coming from the underdog role than be defending the cup like the Kings are. The rest of the conference better hope that the Kings don't advance for sure. I don't think there is any significant fear of the Blues at this point. We'll have to go out and earn it.
I will say this. If the Blues lose one of these first two at home, they are in serious trouble. However, if they can win both of them, I give 'em a better-than-even shot at taking the series. Also, watch out for Detroit. Datsyuk and Zetterberg are on a roll and so are the Wings. I see early exits for both Anaheim and Vancouver. I just hope my beloved Blues don't join them....again. :hairpull:
The only thing I don't wanna see is another Detroit vs San Jose meeting in the second round. The last couple of times they have met in the playoffs, the Sharks have taken the series, quite easily if I recall correctly.

I have a beard year round, in the summer every time I shave my head (which I've been doing for almost 15yrs) I trim my beard real low, my beard doesn't like to be full and thick, for (1) it itches like a MF'er and (2) it really doesn't do me any justice when it grows too thick.

It seems like whenever I grow a playoff beard the Canucks run into Chicago and get eliminated, so I don't grow a beard anymore. I just let my goatee grow out instead.
I can't decide if Chicago looks bad or the Wild look good.

Every single poster here picked the Hawks in 5, lol. Sucks that we lost Heater and Pominville is battered right now - if we had those two more in the lineup I can assure we'd give the Hawks a serious challenge. In fact nine of our roster has never even been to the postseason we are so young. I'd say five - with Heater out and Pominville and even Backs damaged today - sounds about right.
I believe we're the youngest team in the postseason this year for sure. Lots of young players. They're up against too much against the Hawks. Winning today would've been huge.
I think a little of both. Hards was solid and I'm happy for him since he suffers from MS and had been out most of the season.

Well I'm off too a wonderful start, 0 - 3 on the 1st night of the 2013 playoffs none of my wants happened! :eek: When I saw Backstrom got injured in the warm-ups I didn't give the wild much hope against the Black Hawks at least for this game.
Then I was sickened by what happened in St. Louis, the Kings were pretty much dominated the whole game, then managed to get the tying goal in the last minute too ensure overtime, then the hero of last years Kings Playoffs (Quick) makes a terrible play behind the net and it resulted in the goal that gave the Blues the win, not only was it a terrible play by Quick but it was shorthanded to add insult too the misery.
And finally my Red Wings who haven't won a game 1 on the road this Century looked pretty flat, Howard played a stellar game again, both goals he allowed were almost impossible to stop, a deflection / tip got past him and another one he was totally screened and didn't even see.
All in all, it was a + that, we only lost by a goal if you don't count the empty netter, I think Detroit will play better in game 2 and hopefully steal a win in Anaheim too come home with the series tied, if not oh well, don't expect Detroit too get very far this year anyways, it doesn't really matter if they lose in the 1st round this year, it was just an incredible feat, for this team to make the playoffs, any advancement in this years playoffs will be a bonus and a pleasant surprise too boot, oh well, now I have too wait until Thursday to see if this series will be evenly competitive. :hairpull:
