I am a failure to the Korean side of my family
I look forward to seeing Malcolm Suban progress for the Bruins, and anticipate when he plays his brother PK when Boston takes on Montreal, unless PK somehow gets signed to Boston, which I wouldn't mind. As a Bruins fan I hate the fact that he plays for Montreal and is an agitater with diving but would love to see him in black and gold, with his little brother.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
Do you even know how the Wings got Lidstrom and Datsyuk? You might think the Wings' style is "soft", but I sure as hell wouldn't fuck with it.

Yeah very late draft picks, that turned out to be diamonds in the rough sort of speak, Detroit hasn't had a low draft pick since they drafted Martin Lapointe way back when... I know, I am just tired of the Red Wings being small, picked on, notorious for being soft ever since some of our tough guys from years gone by have departed.

No bullshit, I used to Deliver pizza and I would deliver to her house and she'd be in the back yard in a bikini sun bathing while she watched her kids swimming, this was back in the Mid to latter 90's she was pretty damn good lookin! :nanner:

^ Not just late draft picks, but very well scouted late draft picks. There was a very good chance of nobody ever even seeing those two play let alone them getting anywhere near the NHL. The Wings went the extra mile on both of them in terms of scouting and knew damn well how good they could/would be without any other teams having a clue. It wasn't just "hell, it's late, I guess we could take a chance on that Lidstrom kid". They saw what he could do, and knew they could get away with taking him late. Adding Lidstrom to that philosophy is a big plus IMO.

Shea Weber signs the Flyers' 14-year, 100mil+ offer sheet. Preds have a week to match.

As a big Flyers fan I'd love to see Weber wearing orange & black but I'm sure Nashville will use their surplus cap room to match the offer.

As much as I hate the flyers, I'd kind of like to see the Weber/Chara matchup a lot more. The B's are one of (if not the) meanest teams in the league, but there's rarely ever anybody willing to push Chara back. Lucic, Thornton, Horton, McQuaid and Boychuck handle themselves really well, but I'd like Chara to have a nemesis in the conference. This way when there's a Boston-Philly brawl, Z won't just have to stand around pulling people apart.

Nashville has to match this offer because of the fact, the Flyers are pretty damn good team, 4 1st round draft picks from them is like a 2nd or 3rd round pick from any draft, the caliber of players Nashville will receive from collecting the Flyers 25-30 1st round picks are a crap shoot to become good/great players or anything worth losing a Shea Weber for. :uohs:

The best Nashville can do is match the offer then workout a trade or face atleast a 5 to 10 year rebuilding plan, and desperately hoping any of the draft picks they get from Philly become star players or assets too lure trades with. :2 cents:

Did Weber ever say that he doesn't wanna play in Nashville? I got the impression he was doing this to get the Preds to give him the cash and get it over with, which is a pretty big win-win for him.

I think he did to the front office. Nashville apparently was trying to trade him and Philly just got tired of waiting so they put an offer sheet out. I hear Sean Couturier and Brayden Schenn were part of the offer going back to Nashville. Weber's agent said something about him not wanting to be part of a rebuild.

I think Nashville lets him walk and takes the draft picks. Ellis and Blum are both good prospects, and the 4 draft picks will help

I think Nashville would be best served to match the offer and put together a trade that suits them best / the most, with whichever team it maybe. I don't think the prospects and the draft picks end up being nearly as valuable collectively as Weber is, that said, they mine as well workout a trade and get as much star power and additional talent as they can, and this way there not taking a crap-shoot on the prospects and picks they get from Philly.

Atleast through a trade they have some say who and whats coming back to them, and that way there rebuilding could be significantly shorter amount of time and allot easier then waiting for the all of the Philly package too finally mature. :2 cents:

I'd take the picks, tbh. I hate all these stupid ass long-term contracts worth shitloads of money. You're just asking to get screwed. How do they know he doesn't turn into Wade Redden in 5 years? Or Souray or Bowmeaster (Sp?). I don't think they git Weber or Sutter with first-rounders, so it's not like they've never had success with later picks. GMs are over-valuing anyone considered to be a stud these days. Just look at Rick Nash. They want 2 first-rounders, 2 top prospects, and 2 solid, productive NHLers, including a top pair D-man. Yeah fucking right. Rick Nash put up something like 69 points last year. I know he plays with nobodies every night, but at that steep of a price, he (and 99.9% of the rest of the league) are extremely overrated.

Just need Vinny to take him on again! Held his own too (Lecavalier is underestimated, he's a big man too).

About Weber, quality player, but another huge term deal. What are the owners thinking (I didn't look at the terms to see if it was front loaded). I might be pissed because Burke hasn't done much to improve my Leafs in the off season, but at least we don't have Parise for the next 13 years lol. So many non superstar players getting big contracts.

Even though I am pretty disappointed it looks like the Red Wings will not get Weber either, I am not that upset cuz Weber would be in the EC and wouldn't comeback to haunt the Red Wings in a playoff series unless it was the finals. that being said, I still think Nashville has to match the Flyers offer and that way they have some assurity that they get some great talent back in a trade, and its almost certain they cut there rebuilding process in half if they sign and trade Weber as opposed to letting the Flyers get Weber for the prospects and picks. :2 cents:
