but, as long as Ovechkin is on the ice, i'll keep watching the caps... He's one of my favorite athletes in any sport and being able to at least see him skate on the ice is always a pleasure.... even if he does suck this year
Wooooow. Anybody see that Crombley/Renaldi? fight in the Tampa/Philly game? Might be a suspension. Renaldi or whatever his name is ko'd after Crombley was already down and out.
Lecavalier returned the favor to Talbot at the end of their fight too. I doubt either Rinaldo or Lecavalier will be suspended.

I haven't watched the fight yet, but was there a possibility of "bad blood"? Usually when someone keeps throwing when someone's on their way down, its out of real hatred, not just trying to get their team/crowd pumped. Rinaldo's a relatively young guy though, isn't he?
renaldi or whatever the fuck that :dickhead: name is, needs his ass kicked severely by somebody for taking liberties with a lightweight.. one of these days he'll get his ass handed to him and then he'll learn his lesson. :2 cents:
It's obvious if you watched the fight that Crombeen is bigger than Rinaldo. According to their Hockey News bios, "lightweight" Crombeen is 6'2" and 210 lbs while big bad Rinaldo is 5'11'' and 169 lbs.
The National Hockey League rescinded the match penalty assessed to St. Louis Blues forward David Backes in the game Friday night against the Detroit Red Wings.
Backes received a match penalty for an illegal hit to the head of Detroit's Kent Huskins at 9:38 of the third period. Replays appeared to indicate that no contact to Huskins' head was made.
Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk scored the game-winning goal on the ensuing five-minute power play in an eventual 5-3 victory.
The Blues are suddenly a mess. I can't explain it. Neither can Hitchcock I'm afraid. Outscored 11-2 in the last 2 games. Still early even though the season is short but it looks like the Hawks may run away from everyone. Fortunately, in the NHL, all you have to do is make the playoffs to be a serious challenger for the Cup.
In other news, this just in from the "So NOW you tell me" department:

Minnesota? What are you talking about, Khudobin? The islanders love goalies.
How does this trade make sense? Boston's gm is making a living punking people. First Toronto, Minnesota and now this?
Thomas is just happy he doesn't have to leave his bunker.
