the Capitals are healthy and rested. Knuble is expected back tonight. we aren't either of those.

Apparently Boucher had a minor hand injury. X-rays today came out negative, and he's cleared for tomorrow night. :2 cents:Can someone tell me why Bobrovsky played 9 minutes in the middle of the game in that Flyers vs. Bruins game? Seems like Boucher wasn't injured. I'm just curious.
apparently the Tampa Bay Lightning plan was to creep into the playoffs in a mid level playoff spot and then go berserk once in the playoffs.
I have to give you guys props, you are really playing well and through your injuries (kind of like the green bay packers)apparently the Tampa Bay Lightning plan was to creep into the playoffs in a mid level playoff spot and then go berserk once in the playoffs.
Not really. Washington just sucks balls.
Well we're a young team that is starting to grow. And I can guarantee you that for the next few years you won't be saying that.

I don't know. You'll have to hang onto your players, and if you keep crumbling in the playoffs you'll have a hard time doing that when contracts come up.
You guys are a good team, but you're turning into the Vancouver of the East in playoff season.
As young as you are, you've had ample opportunity to capitalize on your playoff opportunities thus far and have yet to do so. This is just a team without playoff mentality, without playoff heart, without playoff leadership (aside from Jason Arnott, who has only been there since the trade deadline), without that playoff quality that just can't be described, it's just there. It's not there for this Washington Capitals team, and it starts from the captain on down. Ovechkin is a proven failure on the big stage. The rest of the team follows their leader.
If the Capitals haven't gotten it done the last four seasons, I don't know if they can. Those seasons include four straight division titles, a President's Trophy, and back-to-back Eastern Conference #1 seeds. Yet they haven't made it past the second round and have been outed in the first round twice. It looks like they won't make it past the second round again this year.
