Question for the Tampa fans here: what is the goalie situation going to be like this offseason? Do you think the Lightning might try to sign Bryzgalov?

we have no goalie signed for after this year. though i wouldn't be surprised if we offered Roloson a new contract. we also have Cedrick Desjardins in the AHL who looked very good in his 2 NHL starts this year. he won them both allowing only 1 goal in each game.

although Ceddy hurt his shoulder in the AHL twice this year so that may be a question mark on him. it is plausible that Brygalov would be mentioned this off season.

that said, we also have to get Stamkos re-signed. and it would be nice to have Brewer, and Gagne back too.

I think Bryz would be a good fit in net for the Lightning. If they have enough cap space they should definitely at least send him an offer. It seems pretty clear that he wants to play somewhere warm and since it looks like Tampa is going to become a hot place for free agents... Having him in net would definitely eliminate any questions about goaltending in Tampa and would make you guys a bonafide contender, that's for sure.

i'd be happy with a Roloson/Bryzgalov combo :D

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
Wow who saw this coming? albeit the Canucks showed a little heart and played a pretty good game 6, I pretty much had a feeling we were gonna see a game 7 in this series.. Seriously somebody better be watching little Roberto right now.. you know what I mean, an official (Undercover suicide watch..) and for heavens sake if Roberto loses game 7 oh my Gawd!!! I think if he loses game 7 he's gotta be traded if he doesn't kill himself 1st.. :uohs: Gawd for bid, LETS hope he doesn't, but FFS I'd hate too be in little Roberto's shoes.. I'm not even trying to hate on the guy, I am just being SERIOUS.. all I can say is WOW!!! on that note I will let all of the Vancouver faithful worry about there team and the big game 7 on Tuesday night.. if they lose they join the 3 other teams that lost 3 - 0 series lead to lose a 7 game series.. and it just happened last year with Flyers and Bruins so although extremely rare it does sometimes happen. :elaugh:

Congrats to the Nashville Predators.. I knew they could win that series, I even picked it, well officially I picked the Ducks cuz of home ice advantage, but I did mention I thought the Preds had a great chance of winning the series..

And L.A. didn't wanna die.. The sharks might be feeling some heat if L.A. wins the next game as well.. I am gonna leave the EAST alone for now.. :D Some serious shit is happening. later PUCKHEADS..
:D:glugglug:

Is there a worse team than the Canucks for playoff hockey?

Maybe Ottawa, but it's hard to say as they never make the playoffs anymore.

There are only three teams that belong in a conversation with the Canucks in terms of pathetic playoff records. And Ottawa is not one of them. The original Ottawa Senators (which no longer exist) actually won eleven Stanley Cups in their day. The current Ottawa Senators have only been around since 1990 and up until this year they made playoffs almost every year (I actually don't get what you mean when you say that they "never make playoffs anymore," because they were the fifth seed in the East last year). The Canucks have been around since 1970 and have ZERO Stanley Cups to show for it. The only teams that bad in NHL history are the Buffalo Sabres (also been around since 1970), the St. Louis Blues (been around since 1967), and the Los Angeles Kings (been around since 1967).

Been around since 1979 (ha! way less time than the Canucks), got five rings to show for it. Kiss the rings, bitches.

P.S. The Canucks will lose Game Seven and NEVER win a Stanley Cup. Your fans are some of the worst fair weather fans I've ever seen and your team is a disgrace.

P.P.S. I will eat my words if they win Game Seven and win the Cup, but I will not take any shit talk from any douchebag Canucks fans if that happens because if you wanna talk shit, you've gotta win five Cups first. That's how franchise success is measured, by championships won!

P.P.P.S. Normally, I would cheer for a Canadian team no matter what, but Canucks fans (there are a lot of them here in Edmonton) are just the worst fans. Well, maybe not the worst (they obviously wouldn't have to give away tickets for Stanley Cup games), but pretty terrible.

Nominees for the Norris have been announced:

Zdeno Chara (BOS), Nicklas Lidstrom (DET), and Shea Weber (NAS).

I love Lidstrom, but personally I think it's utterly ridiculous that he was nominated this year. He had a good year offensively, but he finished with a minus-2 +/- rating (a minus for the first time in his career). That is an essential stat for a defenceman. Chara led the league with a +33 rating. It's hard to argue against Chara winning it for the second time, but I think Weber is the most deserving candidate.

no matter what happens, i'm proud of the Lightning. they haven't rolled over and died, but rather , have given the Penguins a fight.
