Who lost out more - Vancouver losing Rome or Boston losing Horton?

Pretty obvious answer to that question. Aaron Rome has close to no impact, he's just a body on the ice that eats up some minutes and hopefully doesn't screw up. Nathan Horton is second in the playoffs to only Zdeno Chara in +/-, he has 17 points (good for eighth in the playoffs), and is tied for second in game-winning goals (behind only David Krejci), which is exactly what Rome was thinking when he laid that dirty hit on him.

P.S. I know your question was probably rhetorical, I just wanted to answer it anyway.

Does Thomas think he's Lawrence Taylor? How can a goalie hit a player like that, but if your skate nicks the goalie you get an interference penalty?

I don't want to root for any of these teams.

It's pretty simple. The crease is the goalie's domain. WTF was Tim Thomas supposed to do there? Let Sedin drop the puck in the crease, right in front of him and give him a chance to play it? Feisty goalies who hit players like that and get involved in scrums around the net are the best. It's one of the reasons that I like Dwayne Roloson so much. He never lets a player violate his space. There aren't enough goalies like that anymore.

I agree that Thomas had to do something, but he needs to be held to the same laws that protect him. If he was faced with a "get a penalty or allow a goal" play, he can make that decision. But don't let him do anything he wants to in the crease, and then penalize players who look at him cross eyed.

he is. 4 game suspension. but that's just more inconsistent punishment by the NHL. that hit was fine but was 1 second late. the NHL didn't deem it a blindside hit so that wasn't the problem it was the late hit. 4 games for that is too much.

Did it give that player a concussion? I don't think Horton deserved that type of brutal hit because of Karma but that's also just my opinion which isn't worth much.

If Boston comes out into the second period like they did last game, and they end up winning by 4 or more goals, I'm changing my prediction of who wins the cup to Boston.

Vancouver appears to be folding in the playoffs again, just later this time. This is not the same team that played in the regular season. Honestly, :wtf: Vancouver? You can't play hockey when the immediate results matter? They just look like shit. Wasted powerplays, sloppy neutral zone play, inconsistent defense.
