They had a short slump without Dan Boyle, and they have filled in their blueline woes.

Goaltending is just fine with Mike Smith , the only problem they have is to find a suitable backup to replace Karri Ramo.
what do you mean? Mike Smith is an outstanding goaltender. he's our starter, but depending on whether or not Kari Ramo re-signs with us, we may need a back up.
i think Kari signed with a Euro team because he's a bit bitter that he's not a starter yet. we should make an offer to our ECHL kid McKenna to be our backup. he showed promise.

Look at Anaheim- Giguere slumped, Jonas Hiller took over, and singlehandedly took down the Sharks and almost beat the Red Wings.
ah. like i just said, we should make an offer to Mike McKenna. he played pretty well for us late last season. especially when you consider we had to call him up directly from the ECHL.

there is a rumor that tampa is going to get a good backup through trade instead of free agency right now so we'll have to see where this is going.
TSN said earlier that it looks like they're gonna have Jimmy Howard be the back up.
