So .. any wagers if / when Dak Prescott goes under the knife for his torn hamstring, how long it will take for Jerry to fire HC M. McCarthy??

Detroit destroyed Jacksonville 52-6 fueling media speculation that there will be changes in Jacksonville's coaching staff in the coming days.

The Jets have fired GM Joe Douglas meaning it will be an entirely new regime in New York next season. This would seem to indicate that Aaron Rodgers days in the Big Apple will come to end after this season as he has no additional guaranteed money on his contract. Interesting to see if signs elsewhere or retires.

Potentially three players who were Panthers could be inducted. Hope Kuechly gets in (would be first ballot) and it would be great to see Smitty inducted but there is such a backlog at receiver. I do not think Eli deserves to get in but he will because that's how things work.

Was initially surprised to see Darren Woodson because I thought I heard he was in prison for rape. That is Darren Sharper who also played safety. To repeat, Darren Woodson is not in prison for rape and I applaud him for that.

Incredible turnaround for Bryce. Carolina has their quarterback. If they can upgrade the defense this offseason then there is reason for optimism.

Getting a jump on Black Monday, the Patriots have fired Head Coach Jerod Mayo after one season.

Monday night's playoff game between the Vikings and Rams has been moved to Arizona due to the fires in LA. The stadium in Arizona is named State Farm Stadium. Interestingly, State Farm cancelled thousands of policies in California during the months prior to the current wildfires. Life's little ironies.

The All-Pro team has been announced. Nothing too surprising with the selections. Was bittersweet seeing former Panther Frankie Luvu get selected with Washington. Glad he is doing well.

It is being reported that New England will hire Mike Vrabel as their next head coach. Vrabel played on three Super Bowl winning teams in New England and is a member of their Hall of Fame.

Mike McCarthy is out in Dallas. A new contract could not be reached and both sides are moving on.

Never has the league had so many great, athletically gifted quarterbacks.

Rooting for Detroit to win it all. That fan base has suffered enough. Rooting against Kansas City.

My predictions
Rams vs. Lions in the NFC title game - I like Wash, but it's not their time. Eagles' offense not dynamic enough
Ravens vs. Chiefs in the AFC title game - Ravens thumped Buffalo earlier in the season. Texans overmatched

Ravens win Super Bowl LIX! - Lions' defensive deficiencies exposed

Am I going to bet on this playoff scenario as described above - NO... not much of a gambler.
The only game I actually have any confidence in is KC to cover against Houston. I'll probably only bet that one.

Whichever playoff team wins, you can be sure it's going to be fiercely competitive as well as entertaining, which will make for some spectacular viewing!

And then there were four. I hope Buffalo wins the Super Bowl. Obviously, anyone but Kansas City. If Philly wins, I hope Saquon wins SBMVP as that would be a fun story amongst the devaluing of the RB position. I will have very mixed feelings if Washington somehow pulls it out. They haven't earned it yet. It's not fair to other teams that recently drafted a quarterback. Why should they (Washington) get to be happy?

Therefore, I think my ideal Super Bowl would be Bills over Eagles. As such, go ahead and pencil in Chiefs stomping Commanders as the carriage turns back into a pumpkin on football's biggest stage.
