I think it's similar to the situation with Flacco, except as hard as it is to believe Romo isn't as badly overpaid. There just isn't anybody they can go out and get who is better. One of the things I think that is worse about Romo though is that I don't think he will hold up as well over the years. So the people that think he isn't good enough now will really be complaining at the end of his contract.

Some Cowboy fans hate him, so, he has put up some records for them whether he came about in the passing era or not, dated Jessica Simpson, was a hotshot undrafted QB and has taken his team back to the playoffs on occasion, where others have not. Sure he can be blamed for some of Dallas' woes but I understand the contract straight up. And Joe Flacco... I never thought he'd be any good but he's played well enough under pressure situations to my liking. I don't think he deserves it either but these contracts go back further to Peyton that one win QB and his huge contracts and I know ain't nobody gonna question his checkbook being over valued. :D

There are too many teams and not enough good QBs to go around. At least a lot of the big money they get isn't guaranteed. Soon as the Cowboys get a chance to have someone better, they can cut Romo.

Full schedule released yesterday, gives us something to talk about. I found this odd in the Panthers' schedule:

Week 14 - @ New Orleans
Week 15 - New York Jets
Week 16 - New Orleans

Weird.

That happened to several teams last year as well, they try to put all the divisional games later in the season to increase the play-off race drama

Schedules would be better if they played 1 game against every team in their conference each year, and just alternate who gets the home game in each match up every year.

Wow. Joe Montana's and Chris Carter's sons are in the draft. Damn I feel old.

If Carolina stays at 14, I'm hoping for Sheldon Richardson, defensive tackle out of Missouri (dream scenario is Sharrif Floyd or Star Lotulelei falling to them though that is not likely). Then, in second round, take best available WR/CB/S. It will be fun.

because I have nothing better to do with my time... Figured I'd rank my top 8 quarterbacks in the nfl draft... Then I'll go ahead and say when and where I think each will land... If I get even one correct I'll be shocked

My Favorite Quarterbacks in the draft:

1. Mike Glennon - he reminds me a lot of Matt Ryan with a rocket arm

2. Geno Smith - he's tough to compare to somebody, but maybe a faster version of Big Ben (not quite fast enough to be cam newton 2.0)

3. Tyler Bray - he has amazing talent, but everyone talks about his attitude so there's a strong chance he could be a bust.. But he does remind me of flacco (will throw balls up in the air a lot)

4. Zach Dysert- you have probably never even heard of him, but come on! he went to miami!!! ... of ohio... lol, he reminds me a little of Rodgers and I think he could be a sleeper qb

5. EJ Manuel - he's not bad, maybe if he sat on the bench for a season or two he could be pretty good.. Reminds me of Colin Kaepernick but with a weaker arm

6. Matt Barkley - really smart, just not to strong of an arm.. Maybe a more aware version of Ponder

7. Ryan Nassib- look him up on youtube and see the way he throws a ball... what in the world is that?!?!? lol, I've never seen something like that, I can't even compare him to anyone

8. Tyler Wilson - Kyle Bollar 2.0

And now when and where I think they will land:

1. Geno Smith - jets, first round

2. Ej Manuel - eagles, they'll trade to the 32nd pick for him

3. Matt Barkley - jacksonville in the 2nd (they need that qb who is smart and will stand in the pocket)

4. Mike Glennon - bills

5. Tyler Bray - tampa bay

6. Ryan Nassib- browns

7. Zach Dysert- arizona cardinals

8. Tyler Wilson - san diego

lol Dallas. Trade their 18th for the 31st and 71th. 'Boys got had. In other news, the Patriots turn their 29th into a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th or something. That's how you GM.

9ers grab FS Eric Reid 18th overall. I dig it. We still have two 2nd's and picks in each other round. Hoping for DT Jesse Williams early tomorrow and Mathieau and Lattimore somewhere down the road.

thank you Dallas and the Jets for taking over the weird drafting from the Raiders.
boy are the QB's sliding
the 49ers picked Reid a little high
the vikings should have waited on patterson he would have been available in round 2 good job by the pats to fleece them for 4 picks

Baha, no shit. Raiders were actually smart. Changing of the times, I guess. I didn't think NYJ were that bad either. Milliner and Richardson were both good picks, IMO. Didn't help their offensive problems, but there really isn't any game changers in this draft on that side of the ball anyway. None worth taking in the top 15 anyway.

Is there a place that simply list who went drafted where in this year's draft? The few football sites I visit or tried to visit have a continuously real time updating one. Unfortunately, my connection is so slow that those sections of their internet pages don't load up for me.
