Eagles vs. Bears, Go Bears!
I'd agree with you, only if Kevin Kolb was the QB.
Eagles vs. Bears, Go Bears!
The NFL has fined both the Denver Broncos and head coach Josh McDaniels $50,000 each for an incident stemming from a Broncos employee filming the practice of the San Francisco 49ers in London. The person who did the actual filming, Steve Scarnecchia,
had been initially been placed on a “personal leave of absence” by the Broncos for making the video, but has now been fired “for cause.”
In a statement released by the Broncos’ owner, Pat Bowlen mentioned that neither head coach Josh McDaniels nor anyone else in the organization told Scarnecchia to videotape the 49ers.
Upon learning of the video, Josh McDaniels informed Scarnecchia that he would not use the tape and had it deleted off the computer’s hard drive it was on. Under league rules, though, McDaniels had to inform the league offices of the incident, which he did not do so.
In a separate statement, McDaniels apologized for not following the proper guidelines concerning the incident. He and the Broncos accept full responsibility for the incident and the actions taken by the league.
STATEMENT FROM BRONCOS HEAD COACH JOSH McDANIELS
Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels issued a statement of apology for failing to immediately report the illegal taping of the San Francisco 49ers' practice by the Broncos' since-fired video director, Steve Scarnecchia.
McDaniels was fined $50,000 by the NFL and the Broncos organization was fined $50,000.
Both McDaniels and Scarnecchia used to work for the New England Patriots, who were infamously involved in Spygate:
Here's McDaniels' statement:
"I apologize for not promptly reporting the improper conduct of our video director before our game against the 49ers in London. The actions of this individual are in no way representative of the values and integrity held by myself, our players and coaches, and the entire Denver Broncos organization.
“I understand the punishment from the National Football League and support its commitment to the integrity of the game. We have addressed the situation internally to assure that nothing like this happens again.”
Tampa Bay (7-3) has Baltimore, New Orleans, Atlanta, Washington, Seattle and Detroit left. All 3 losses have come to playoff bound teams and haven't beaten anybody above .500. I think they'll finish 9-7, maybe even 8-8.
My Bears are playing a hell of a game against the Eagles. Cutler just threw his third TD and the defense is all over Vick and they're doing it by only rushing four lineman. The Bears might be able to pull off an upset, go Bears!
I give Cutler and the boys credit. More so than I did before. But, over the long haul into the playoffs, I dunno....
The Bears are the best team in the NFC. Fuck the Falcons and fuck the Saints. I'm going to start talking trash now because a few people on here doubted the Bears saying they were going to win 4-5 games and now they are 8-3 sitting atop the NFC North. They have THE number one defense in the league and have been on a roll since their bye. What do they have to do to finally get some love from around the league?
.......Win the super bowl.
I'm not going to do a BSS and say that the Bears are going to win the Super Bowl but can we at least give the Bears some credit and say that they are a legit team?
As a Bears fan it pains me to say it, but the Bears might be one of the worst 8-3 teams I can remember. It was a good win for them today though. I still can't believe some of the problems their offensive line had today though.
