In your poem, although it was cynically comical and apparently written as a lighthearted musing (from your subsequent clarification of it), I took it as an insult because it said two things (to me): 1) Crissy's ONLY here to get more subscribers to her website,

Actually the poem reads 'For money is the main reason...' Interestingly, I DID originally type 'only'. But thought that innacurate - so I changed it.

and 2) that your fellow members are too dumb to realize this (your assertion that she's ONLY here to make money) and that your fellow members are too star-struck to realize that they're being toyed with - neither of which is the case.

Well, now you are reading into my poem. In actual fact I have a very high regard for the intellectual capacity of the members on Freeones. Now in terms of their emotional awareness? 90-95% of those on here - yes. But a small minority I truly believe get too emotionally carried away with some of these 'babes'. And as long as I believe that - I feel the need to point it out - as a fellow human being.

In any event, I like and respect you, mcrocket, but I just felt that you not only insulted Crissy, but also your fellow members here (as explained above).

And I like and respect you as well Nightfly. But I see nothing that I typed that was not honest. Or vicious in it's intention. Without either of these two factors, I do not think that an insult can realistically be present.
I was merely ribbing her. And yes, I do it often. No one else seems to. And I swear to you that I honestly think someone should. I mean sometimes the butt kissing is just ridiculous - all because she is physically very attractive and/or a pornstar. Understandable but overboard.
And not just her. To all those models that come on here. She is just on here the most and seems to have the best sense of humour about it - so I do it to her the most.
Look. They get their butt kissed ROYALLY by a dozen people every time they even look at Freeones. I think they can handle a bit of ribbing.
And if they can't, they should find another line of work. They want our money and our ass kissing and with no ribbing in return?
Forget it. Not as long as I am part of Freeones.


And as long as the mods let me, of course.

All the mods do such a good job, and i could have easily nominated pitino, comanduc or colonel, or any of them and i understand if anyone does nominate them.

I'm fairly new here,but in the time I've been here have made what I'd like to call friends if only we meet on a forum board.Now I don't want to upset any of these so I will point out who I'd like to win MOTY.
BNF has help me and become a good friend from the start.Americanharley was someone who also helped me and has become a good friend too.

But the one who just pip's these two to my vote is jod0565 as he's been a great asset to the board and to me with his witty comments and thoughtful posts.Oh and he also laughs at my dry sence of humour.

First, I am surprised and honoured.
Second, you realize that Nightfly and I are the same person ...so we need one more.
And third, I think it should be juballs. And not because he nominated me.

Think about it. This thread has been maybe the only really positive constant throughout the last four months or so. And I assume that it will keep being as such for quite some time to come.
There is nothing negative about this thread. And it is not butt kissing either. It is just a way every week that all the members can come together on something good.
I think it's the best thread (that I can think of) on Freeones. And juballs created it, monitors it and makes good choices - forgetting he picked me one week .
And on top of that, all of the level headed, witty and non attacking (unless deserved) posts he puts up.

I know it is convenient to make it 5 people on the list. But I honestly think there should be 6.

Wow...I'm going to have to think about this one. Those are good nominations juballs, and I agree...strong cases could be made for any/all of them.

I think cases could also be made for Colonel, Comanduc, Aces & Jacks, AsianXXXChick, and AmericanHarley.

One thing that I do feel a bit strongly about though is that this honor should go to a 'regular' board member. I really don't want to see it go to one of the OCSMs.

Might be far out there, anyway we could do moderator of the year, member of the year and and OCSM of the year.

Too many people to vote for cause if I could I'd give it to 20 or so different people that keep this board alive, peaceful and a great place to spend some time at.


My vote would have to be:

Ms. Moran - OCSM of year.

Member Of The Year is a great distinction to have in such a great forum on the net.
I come here not just to ogle links of babes, but mainly for the friendship this little corner of the net provides. For the most part, the members here are well informed, witty, and most of all, friendly.
I thank you to all who think I should be MOTY, but I say there are far more deserving members here than myself. Not only do we have a very tolerable admin, but the mods do a great job of keeping this forum running very smoothly. Their addition to the mod squad has proven to be the right decision.
There are "senior" members here who truly care for the forum and are willing to stand up for it. There are members here who help out anyone who asks nicely with whatever links and answers they can provide. They are some newer members here who's posts from the get go just seemed to fit like a glove and they are members who have been welcome from day one.

MOTY, wow where has 2005 gone? I've enjoyed my time here on the board immensely. Being part of the "Mod Squad" has taken some time away from my posting, but I love the responsibility of keeping this place the way it should be... Fun.
I hate to say this, but maybe an all out poll in ala "********** style" to decide the winner? :dunno:

juballs has proven that he takes all factors into consideration when choosing the MOTW award. He's read nominations, gone with the crowd, but also gone against the crowd and still picked valuable members to crown.

I think, in the end, of this as still juballs' thread and pick. He reads what is written and is a capable judge. I think that he is fair enough, that should he pick himself, no one will complain.

That said:
It's an honor to be nominated - now I understand what they say before the Oscars! :hatsoff:
