GS can still pull off the upset and win the series if they can win Game 4...Tony and Tim taught school in Game 3....It's just a matter of how quickly the Splash Brothers and the rest of the Warriors learn their lesson.
 
Yeah Memphis was impressive in the close-out on the road !...I've also enjoyed watching GS for the most part, I'd like to see that series go 7. I was somewhat dissapointed that both my Finals picks,The Clippers and NYC, won't make the finals this year (although NYC is technically still alive but on life-support). I knew they would both be long-shots, however, I was still surprised by how poorly they performed in the Playoffs. On the bright side, they both won their respective divisions for the first time in quite awhile... for whatever that's worth :dunno: .
 
I'm still proud of the Bulls. They proved a lot of people wrong who said they wouldn't even make it to the playoffs (I had doubt myself), and then people said they wouldn't get past Brooklyn in round 1, and they proved them wrong again. If the team can manage to get healthy and stay healthy they will be one of the top teams next year. They're a young team with a lot of prospects, and if/when Rose comes back, all the better. Jimmy Butler has come a long way in a short time. Being only his 2nd year in the NBA, he plays like a veteran player. The right mindset, instincts, talent, etc. Very good instincts on the defensive end, which is rare for such a young player, and he's great on the 3 point line. Between him and Luol Deng when his health improves, both great 3 shooters. Kirk Hinrich, Nate Robinson and Joakim Noah with the life they breath into the team. I don't think there will be much trading going on in the off season. This is a young team with a lot of talent and wisdom that just needs fine-tuned. Expect Chicago to be a big threat next season.

Congrats to the Spurs, they did a great job and deserved to win the series, but I think GS showed alot of peple something, however, their overall fundamentals, defense, and rebounding, like most other teams in the NBA these days, is so exceedingly remedial, they really aren't ready to get any farther than they did...I'm just glad they made it a half-way decent series to watch....Look out for Jack and the Splash ******* next year though...young guns on the run !

Yeah it was an interesting series to watch. I expected a more up tempo strategy from Jackson last night, but that didn't happen.

Ok I'm picking Memphis to win it all.
They'll probably prove me wrong, but to me The Heat aren't the shoe ins most people seem to think they are.

That's a gutsy pick ! I think Memphis has a slight advantage on the frontline with Zebo and Gasol, and Mike Conley has really made a name for himself. But for the Spurs, Tony Parker, Ginobli and Duncan have been playing lights out lately...I think this may be the kind of series where the Spurs could miss an X factor guy like Stephen Jackson, but it could be a chance for T.Mack to step up and show he can still play !

I think the Heat are going to be EXTREMELY difficult for anybody to beat...I thought my Knicks might be able to give them a good series, but it will be a small miracle if they even survive Indiana, however, The Pacers gave the Heat all they could handle in the Playoffs last year, so I think a Pacers/Heat match-up would be a good series as well.

LOL Yeah Memphis is somewhat of a slow-starting team, but I think they are just beginning to figure things out in this series, and I expect a MUCH better effort once they get home to Memphis...If they protect their home court the next 2 games, then anything is possible for the series !
 
In the words of Charles Barkley, "Reggie Miller , Rik Smits, and Mark Jackson we're rolling over in their graves last night watching the Pacers blow that game". Bad rebounding, especially offensively, poor post entry passes, very mediocre post moves by Hibbert, borderline pathetic point gaurd play, poor free-throw shooting by their best player West, and inexcusably horrible coaching down the stretch by Vogel that cost the Pacers a game that was all but gift-wraped for them. I'm still hoping for a good series, but that is the kind of loss that can ultimately cost an under-dog team like the Pacers the series.

On the bright side, for the Heat, I really enjoyed watching the Bridman play. It's so refreshing to see a guy who really knows how to play the game the right way and do all the little things that are necessary to win. I'm not a Heat fan, but I can't help but root for him to get a ring...I think Larry Bird and Pat Riley are two of the best executives in the league in terms of team-building, but right now the way the Heat plays as a complete unit, they seem to be on another level in terms of overall team execution. I will be interested to see if Indiana can step their game up.
 
Vogel sits Hibbert with a one point lead and Lebron gets an easy layup. Vogel cost them the series last year and he's trying to do it again.
 
Woo Indiana. Should be up 2-0 going back home. Hibbert showed he shouldn't be taken off the floor, ever.

Beat the Heat. Its good to see some teams competing having built their team the honest way.
 
Oh Yeah !! 2-0 would have been nice, but a split is just fine considering how they lost game1...watched the game last night with some Heat fans..almost ****** on their chicken wings when LeBron committed those turnovers down the stretch..classic LOL !

I'm still far from convinced that Indiana can win the series...but at least now they have a fighting chance...definately shaping up into a pretty good series. Now tiime to see if Memphis can show some signs of life at home.
 
What's funny is so many experts on Mike and Mike and Mike and Mike themselves were all years saying the only teams that even could remotely challenge the Heat were maybe the Knicks, Bulls, or Celts. Then their talk was all about can anyone even win more than a game on them in the post season.
