Drivers are way overrated, over inflated egos, just big billboards running around in circles, bigtime money has taken over. BTW, Little "E" can't drive his way out of a paper bag...His NAME does sell seats though. So he is courted by the nascar media folks. Rem he left the company his Dad created for him, because he couldn't have everything HIS way!!! I used to be really deep into this sport, now I don't care. I still go to Charlotte And sork security...talk about scantily clad women!!!

I'm more of a casual fan, but I like Matt Kenseth.
And although they aren't fulltime drivers, I like Paul Tracy and Jacques Villeneuve.

More into CART/Champ Car, Indy and Formula 1 myself.

Tony Stewart. Like how he doesnt give a damn about anything. He'll bump Kurt Busch into the wall, they'll go to the Nascar trailor for a meeting, and Stewart will punch Busch right after the meeting lol. Joe Gibbs Racing will get Toyota's first win. Plus I find Dale Jr. too overrated. just cause he won the Bud Shootout they say he has to win the 500 and that hes gonna have the best season ever

Kyle Busch,he is fun to watch. As the race commentators say he is so young he doesn't know what he can't do so he does it lol.

I am not into Nascar. I respect it for its contributions to sports though. I do love local stock car races and admire many top hometown drivers. The area I live in is big on both stock and drag racing. Drag racing bores me since it requires no real driving skills, the mechanic is the true winner in that sport I feel.

The merger finalizes today If I recall correctly -

CART + IRL =
It's too bad for some of those smaller CART venues, as they'll lose the annual race in preference of the bigger money maker locations.

I hope that Laguna Seca (Monterey, Calif.) remains as a mainstay.

CART had some real great racers, back when -
Emerson Fittipaldi, Al Unser Jr., Michael Andretti, Paul Tracy, Jimmy Vasser, Jacques and Alex Zanardi, to name a few.

Mercedes and Honda power plants we simply awesome for the CART circuit in the late eighties / early nineties.

As for the NASCAR guys, I don't really recognize too much of an attitude problem. They're briefed / reeducated fairly thoroughly by their corporate sponsorships. Curt / Kurt (?) Busch and T. Stewart can get all bent out of shape fairly easily, as I recall :1orglaugh They look like fussing babies at times . . . pouting and whining, don't they realize how cushy their lives are.

All in All, NASCAR is a decent circuit, however, as Juice sort of stated ahead of me, the corporate influence has marred the ambience to a level that I can no longer watch the day long commercial. Seemingly every statistic that is revealed on screen must be accompanied by some pop up / spam advertisement all f'en day long !
And what indoctrinated suckers the fans are for paying ENORMOUS sums of money - 2, 3, 4, $500 or more to witness the high speed drive by advertisements.

I'll catch the remaining 5 laps, thank you very much

I like some of those F1 races . . . (I forgot which ones, its been a while) . . where there are no advertisements allowed:thumbsup:
