A movie despised by critics, but loved by me. Funny stuff.
"25th Hour"
A lesser known Spike Lee film about the last day of freedom before a man is taken away to jail. Great acting, powerful scenes.
"The Battle of Algiers"
One of the most intelligent and objective views on terrorist tactics I have ever seen, set in the Algeria the native Muslims revolt against the French.
"Grosse Point Blank"
Smart, funny, romantic, and action-packed. A movie with everything.
I'll also second thegunner's statement of "City of God." That is without a doubt one of the best films I have ever seen.

Any Film by Russ Meyer! He was a legend, if you've never heard of him please check him out, you'll like!! My fav Russ Meyer's film VIXEN! I even own a copy of the script signed by its star Erica Gavin!!

Hudson Hawk is vastly funnier and more entertaining thatn the false myth around it being awful would allow anyone to believe. And Andie McDowell looks fabulous in it (the only time you'll ever hear me say that about her).

Yeah i thought so, I guress it's very easy to get the 2 movies mixed up simple by the title. I just realized the name of the Patrick Swayze movie City of Hope, that movie was great also.
I have heard of City of God though and it being a very powerful movie.

i think that "Final Destination" was terribly underrated
it's a suspense-teen movie, i know
but it's very scary, with a great plot and great acting.
