The obvious choice would be home run. I'll say strike out.
1988 World Series game 1 - Who was in the on deck circle when Dennis Eckersley walked Mike Davis with two outs and the bases empty in the bottom of the ninth?
It is Ozzie Smith and his brother was Lonnie Smith on the '82 Cards team that beat the Brewers. Lonnie lead the NL in SBs that year.

New one: What did Babe Ruth, Rogers, Hornsby, Ted Williams and Willie Mays all do in their first major league at-bats?
Strikeout
I remember that it was the pitchers slot in the order. I think that it was infielder Mike Anderson that was in the circle before Gibby gimped out to hit. I could be wrong, my memory isn't what it used to be.
Well done. His first name was Dave but you've got the right guy. Light hitting SS with no power. Great move by Lasorda. Eckersley knew Mike Davis had had a terrible year for the Dodgers, but he'd previously had some good power numbers playing for the A's, so seeing Anderson on deck he pitched very carefully to Davis and walked him. Then Anderson was pulled and Gibson unexpectedly came up, and the rest is history
Who is Barry Bonds Godfather?
Willie Mays?
Since no one got the rest of the answers to the Manager of the Year questions I'll give it. Chicago White Sox had 5 managers win and the other team never to have one was the Mets.
The NY Yankees have a tradition for having their players clean cut. Hair well cropped and limited mustaches. Only 1 player had a beard in a Yankee uniform on a baseball card. Name him.
May 1, 1991 was a historic day. One player broke a lifetime record and another established a standing lifetime record mark. Both are Hall of Famers. What were these 2 events?
The other was Nolan Ryan with no-hitter #7.

Bert Campaneris was the first to play all nine positions in one game. Who was the second?
