The Twins are the best team in the world, and considering Liriano now (by all accounts) appears to be returning to form, you and everyone else will be sucking Twins' dick in Fall. ^^^You cant put blame solely on the Pirates FO. You gotta get at MLB too. Pirates cant afford to keep the young players they get. After the 6 years of club control the budding stars are dealt to contenders. The bad teams are essentially a pool where good teams go to for what player they might need. Dont be surprised when Andrew McCutchen or a Pedro Alvarez get traded to the Yankees or Mets or a high income team. Welp gotta go Draft time.

We are the BEST at constructing major leage teams. :hatsoff: I keep asking myself every year when they will fall off (as a small market team), but they are a persistent bunch. :hatsoff: If we had ONE ace (maybe two) on our staff this club would be the overwhelming favorites.

Well, the Cubs weren't on television tonight so I couldn't watch their latest debacle. Once again, we go back to not having any run support when the starter has a good outing. The only saving grace tonight was that the Blackhawks won. I guess it wasn't a terrible night for sports...

The Twins may meet my Rays in the ALCS, but they will be getting mowed down just like the Rays are mowing down the White Sox right now.

It appears your cowardly Twinkies wanted to duck the Rays this season and we won't get this matchup until July and of course the Twins get the home series first (WIMPS!)

The Pirates could be competive if they ever spent money. it's obvious that every cent of revenue sharing is going right into the owners pocket. the current owner even turned down the Pengiuns owner offer to buy the team.

The Rockies will be fine.
The only thing that could stop them from winning that division is 1) a hailstorm of injuries or 2) The Dodgers acquiring a top quality starter.
You KNOW #2 isn't going to happen. Not a flippin chance. It makes way too much sense. It's the one thing they were missing last season, and down the stretch in '08 - but have they ever addressed it? Nope. And they won't this year either.
So if the Rocks stay healthy they're in.
