MLB 2009 thread

Yankees vs. Rockies is my prediction.

Man that would be great.....but we have to stop LOSING here if we even want the wild card.......still, even if we make the playoffs, it is going to be a long and difficult road to the WS.......The Cards, Dodgers, and Phillies are all going to be fired up and tough to beat.

Given the Phillies bullpen mess and the Dodgers weak of late starting pitching i wouls think the Cardinials and the Rockies are the favorites in the NL right now

i strongly agree that NL is going to be either the cardinals or rockies

the phillies bullpen is their achilles heel right now and if you look at the dodgers record outside their division....its really not that impressive....they are 49-39 outside the division....good....but not world series material

Cardinals have the 3 headed monster of a rotation with Carpenter, Wainwright and Piniero...i just cant go against that

Cardinals from the NL

AL...i really dont know....depends on how the yanks and sox are going in and which Tigers team shows up

Wow...this fucking play-in game tonight between Detroit and Minnesota is fucking awesome!!! Tied 4-4 going into extra innings....loser goes home for good. Damn....I love baseball....

Congratulations to the Twins. What a great last month they've had.

Still, the Tigers got hosed. Their batter was definitely hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the top of the 12th, but the ump missed it. Sad to see them eliminated that way. Another bad break for the city of Detroit.

I don't disagree but Detroit got what they asked for by having to play this game to begin with. They had a 3 game lead with 4 games to play and they fucked it up. I like Jim Leyland a lot and the Michigan area could definitely have gotten off on this but the truth is they pissed it away.

Big shout out to the Twins......too bad I was at work and missed the whole damn game.

Ah, well, it begins in earnest tomorrow, my friends.......GO ROCKS!

yeah the Dodgers really struggled in September and thier rotation is a mess.i think St.Louis beats them in 5

Yankees in 3 (unfortunately)
Red Sox in 4
Rockies in 4
Cardinals in 5

Yankees in 7 (unfortunately)
Cardinals in 5

Yankees in 7 (unfortunately)

If I were picking what I wanted to see happen it would be the Twins and Cardinals with the Twins coming out on top.

Once again, Jays aren't in the playoffs, so I don't really care. But, that aside, I've always been a fan of the Cardinals, so I'm thinking St. Louis will go to the World Series.

Just so long as the winner of the World Series is not from Boston or New York, I'll be happy.

Who else hates TBS's first baseline camera?
Batter hits a line drive to the right side and it's completely lost while TBS switches from the head on view of the batter to the baseline camera, which is poorly positioned to begin with. Ridiculous overproduction :thefinger

Cardinals and Dodgers have left 18 men on base in the first four innings. So far this is the Missed Opportunity Series.

Yankees in 3
Angels in 5 (Red Sox catchers have 'no arm' and the Angels will run on them all day long)

Phillies in 4
Cardinals in 5

Yankees in 6
Phillies in 6

Yankees in 5
