The Rashad vs Rampage fight was over-hyped because the UFC organization knew how much the two hated each other and capitalizes on it. They were about to do the same with Liddell vs Ortiz fight but Ortiz pulled out due to injury. However on Liddell vs Franklin match, the two don't hate each other and both have mutual respect. Liddell even quoted on the TUF show that Franklin was one of the nicest guys in MMA. UFC organization just ran a regular ad without too much hype. Still, UFC 115 was a great show with Liddell fucked up by going for a KO but he got KO'ed instead by Franklin. Mirko was a surprise since he won by submission on Barry where UFC were placing ads that this match was a mostly a striking match and should end with a KO by one or the other. Hey its MMA...gotta love it. :D

The Carwin vs Lesnar fight should be great since they're the top 2 HW in their divisional weight-class. Hopefully, Fedor should jump on board on the UFC soon and throw a curve on a deep HW roster. ;)

The word out there at the moment for him is...GREED. That's why the talks have broken down. Still, Dana and the UFC organization are still interested in him but keeping low key. UFC will eventually hold all the leverage if the competitors like Strikeforce, Bellator, and others will go belly up. Just a matter of time...UFC is still the prime MMA event and Fedor is still considered the best pound-for-pound HW out there by analysts.

Dana has said on multiple occasions whilst on the Opie & Anthony show on XM radio, that fedor wants to come to the UFC and the UFC would pay a big sum for him,no problem there but his handlers continue to ask for crazy outlandish things. they want the UFC to build and arena in russia and give fedor part ownership or control with the UFc or something like that and Dana says "im shelling out the money to get him here and under contract im not doing all this other crazy stuff his handlers ask for".
so that is definitely one hold up,his handlers want fucking money for themselves they dont fucking care about fedor.by the time he comes to the UFC he will be washed up and old. and nobody is going to get the Fedor fights they should have gotten 2 or 3 years ago and they will be gravely disappointed!

Agreed, very disappointing. Also, I need to tune in on that show on XM radio. I recall on an MMA article on Yahoo Sports that Fedor's manager were requesting for crazy outlandish things as well. The writer was disappointed that Fedor was letting it all happen. That's too bad, if there weren't any other competitors then the UFC will hold all the cards and leverage. The last Strikeforce show on CBS, the organization did not pay Fedor's request for a pay increase. Fedor need a new manager and new handlers.

yea he definitely does or he realizes he will not do well in the cage compared to a ring? or he doesnt think he can beat any upcoming fighters of the UFC and is just using this "outlandish requests" as a ploy to delay delay delay?

Fedor would love to debate with you on that since he beat Brett Rogers in a cage match in a Strikeforce TV event.

According to Paul Glaser when Fox had rights to Pride, there was rumors that Fedor was delaying his upcoming fight with Mirko but it was found out later on that Mirko was doing the delays with outlandish demands. Fedor was not known for delaying a fight but then his manager and handlers need to go.

Also, there was an interesting reading on Wikipedia about Fedor where UFC wants to sign him on an exclusive contract to fight in the UFC only but he can't on an M1-Global tournament where Fedor also signed a 6 year contract...and rumors that he's part owner of it (Yahoo Sports).

my Fedor news isnt very up to date as you can tell, im not a fan of the guy (actually hate him) but i havent heard or cared about any news on him since that Dana white interview on O&A well back in the beginning of the winter like sept or early oct.
i was partially right about part owning something, it was M-1, since you posted it it's all slowly coming back to me.
well shall see....

My impression on Dana from various interviews that he has certain visions of who would be the likely champions should be in the UFC. He got it when War Shogun won the LHW UFC champion at last. Other than Mirko couldn't cut it in the UFC, Dana was also very disappointed with Brock's behavior when he won the HW UFC championship on UFC 100. There are rumors that he tried his best to sign Fedor on board to the UFC to dethrone Brock. But then, its really Fedor's final decision. :( Anyway, Shane Carwin looks more than a match for Brock Lesnar. Looking forward to UFC 116. :D

No probs MMA bro!

There's an interesting poll running on UFC.com to choose the winner between Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin in their upcoming undisputed title fight.

The results were Shane Carwin 59% to win compared to Brock Lesnar 41%

carwin will own

Can't wait for UFC 116 and see those two physical freaks go to WAR. Carwin belong to the same training camp as GSP, Rashad Evans, Nate Marquadt and other elite fighters. Not sure who Brock trains with as he has his own personal gym in Minnesota. Both fighters dominated former HW champ Frank Mir...Carwin (1st fight) and Lesnar (2nd fight).

TUF finale last night, im glad Court won, i guess i wanted him to win because of him being on chuck's team and because tito is pussy so why would i want anyone from his team to win.
i was a little shocked at how hamill won over jardine, jardine was beat up pretty bad and hamill didnt actually start doing something until late in the 2nd round. so how does jardine win 1st rd then 85% of rd 2 then have it go to decision and lose by unanimous decision? i dont get what the judges watch sometimes. i know Dana always says never leave it in the hands of the judges but.....
and for once leben actually looked IN SHAPE

Well Jardine did manage to win the first round, but he did not win the second round due to that lost point for the thumb to the eye. In the end that lost point didnt matter anyway cause Hamill still would have won the split decision,

It wasn't a pretty fight for Hamill, he did look sluggish but he landed heavier punches, he was more aggressive and pushed forward more, scored with the cut to the eye, and had like 3 or 4 takedowns on Jardine which score major points, plus Jardine kept losing his mouthpiece, which is a sign of being tired, to the judges... I'm actually quite surprised that you're suprised that Hamill won, it wasn't really shocking as Hamil was "Bullying" Jardine for the majority of the match.

after your wonderful recapping of the fight i think i was way off, he did get taken down like 4 times in that 2nd rd. ah im an ass!
