Mixed Martial Arts

It's true that experience helps alot in winning, but the fact of MMA is that there are SO many variables in this sport and whoever has that advantage will win. Sometimes all they need is a lucky punch.

For proof on what I said, check out the Gouveia/Lambert fight.

Go Cung Le.

Alexander or Irvin? I can't wait for that fight! I know that the better man will be standing within the first round!

8 second TKO, give me a break!

Let them fight!

I mean, it kinda looked like he was out at first, but he's gotta do a better job.

I know...it's not a fuckin' rodeo. Fight!

I hope there will be a rematch. I'm trying to stay open-minded, but if that's all we'll see, I'm going to have a bad vibe with Irvin and his bullshit win and that pussy ref Mazzagati.

Go Georges St. Pierre. Serra is going to get killed!!!!!

Karo, Lauzon and Houston should have been given longer chances.

They all were still in the fight.... imo.

Karo turned away and covered his face. That's not intelligently defending yourself. These guys know if you do that, the fight is going to be stopped. They're explained all of this in the locker room right before the fight.

Lauzon was eating a lot of shots, not making any attempt to improve his position and same as above, he knew what situations result in stoppages. He needed to improve his position, not just block every third punch.

As for Alexander, the guy was out. You can see it, he goes cock-stiff and then the second or third shot on the ground brought him back. Happens all the time, Chuck/Rampage II is a good example.

Great work by the ref's.

We'll see...I'm rooting for Serra to be the spoiler once again :O

Hard to tell...I was pissed that the Houston/Irvin fight went that fast. Unfortunately we have to trust the ref. He's there to ensure that the safety of fighters is met. I just hope there will be a rematch.
For Lauzon, he seemed to stick in there for awhile but he didn't do much. He was just in a shitty position and too bad for him.
Personally I was glad Karo got KO'd. Again, it was so abrupt that you have to take the ref's word on it.

Well, UFC 83 was pretty damn piss poor! It started out all right, with the Danzig fight, but that other dude was really lacking in experience and skill, had heart though. Heart was something lacking in a lot of the fights. What was up with that dude that Bisping fought, Charles McCarthy? I mean seriously...but...it got worse with the Quarry/Starnes "dance"! That was just pathetic....just pathetic.
The whole night was just a let down....GSP looked awesome though. He owned Serra! So kudos to him for coming to get down.

Got back from Montreal yesterday. The Bell Centre was the craziest arena I've ever been in. The place was just electric. The crowd was a million times better than the other UFC's I've been to. Very exciting to be a part of, made all the fights more enjoyable. Even the Starnes debacle.

Goulet, Jason Day, Stout/Clementi & MacDonald were all very impressive in the prelims. Even managed to sneak on tv for a second.
