The bloke is a complete cunt from the trailers I've seen of his 'films.' They left me feeling very uneasy, what I'd like to know is what type of girl would let herself be degraded and abused in this way!?

I'd hate to repeat an opinion already voiced, but i totally agree with Aces&Jacks. There's a video in the Funny vids section "gag reel" or something and parts of that stuff do look a bit extreme. Even though there's no Max in sight. Point is that this is a tendency in porn and Max is just a pinnacle of it so to speak. If I remember correctly some Rocco Siffredi vids are no less degrading to women, than Max's stuff.

I could list 10 movies I've seen in the last week that have scenes in them just as bad as, if not worse, than many of Max's scenes. They include names like Rocco Siffredi, Steve Holmes, Mark Ashley, Erik Everhard and Manuel Ferrara, just to name a few. Two of the Directors are women, Aurora Snow and Jewel De'Nyle. Some of the companies distributing the videos are Red Light District, Zero Tolerance, Platinum X, 3rd Degree, and Digital Sin. The only difference between them and Max is appearance. They try not to give the appearance of being degrading to woman while successfully doing so. Max is just upfront about it.

I can understand people not particularly liking his work but from what I've read on this thread it's like he's the ultimate criminal in the porn biz. I tend to agree with you poggy that an impressionable mind could see that sort of thing as a stamp of approval, and sometimes feel that same concern about the level of violence in some video games and movies. At the same time I can also see Fox's point that in other instances porn allows for the private and 'safe' fulfillment of fantasies that might otherwise be acted out in a detrimental way.

With regards to my statement of an 18 year old having problems way before seeing Max Hardcore - I just think that by the time you're 18 years old you should know right, wrong, manners, what's legal, what's illegal unless you grew up as a heathen then that's a different story. I would think an 18 year old would be at the age where they can somewhat think for themselves. By the time you're 18 we let you join the military, drive cars, go to college, be eligible for many of societies perks. So I think 18 is an age we would consider mature adult. Yes they are still impressionable but they aren't as impressionable as say an 8 year. If by the time a boy turns 18 and thinks that abusing school girls is acceptable behavior - I wouldn't look to blame Max Hardcore. I think I would look at the home environment. That's all I'm saying.
