Canoeing on the Dordogne River that's the village of Beynac-et-Cazenac where I was based during my stay with Chateau Beynac looming above. Awesome.

Morning in Sarlat. I went to breakfast there a couple times to a place that slow cooks potatoes in duck fat overnight and serves them with omelettes made with duck eggs. Bacon on the side and incredible grilled fresh bread and homemade butter. Everything grown organically and locally.

Just booked flights for November back to France, this time on Norwegian Airlines which I hear is awesome! I'll be on the new 787-9 Dreamliner plane which is supposed to be awesome. Non-stop from Orlando to Paris then hopping Ryan Air to Bergerac and renting a car. No train this trip!

Sounds like a great trip. I will say now flying Ryanair will be the worst bit of your holiday.

I HATE ryan air but its only a 35 minute flight so I can deal with it. Ryan Air & Easy Jet are necessary evils sometimes in Europe

Greetings from Bimini! I had one of the BEST pizzas I've had in my life here last night and I still refuse to accept it! I've had pizza in Naples and all over Italy. I've had it in places that are said to be the best and yet on this tiny Bahamian island of 800 I was blown away by a traditional Margherita pizza! They cooked it in a coal fire brick oven for 90 seconds and the crust has that yummy char on it.

Seriously....this was cooked by a 22 year old Bahamian!


I don't know who's idea it was to import semolina flour to Bimini but I'd kiss them on the mouth if I did!


And this was the view from at sunset while we enjoyed it!

Nice photos of France Mariah. The Dordogne region has also nice vineyards. I also traveled some years ago on the road of wines located in Alsace as well as in the Provence region where the rascasse (a fish from the Marseille area) is one of the best meals available and the wines are great too.

I love Alsace. Was there last year for 5 days and loved it. I also love the Luberon region...best wines I've had in my life! I did have some beautiful wines in Bordeaux on this recent trip. Spent a day touring a vineyard and had an incredible meal with several local wines that blew me away
