Some pics....

There was a farm where they "humanely" raise geese and duck for foie gras. This is a salad of foie gras on toast over greens with roast duck. Without question the BEST salad I've had in my lifetime. Simple dressing of local mustard and creme fraiche with lemon and local walnuts and tomatoes.

There is true beauty in the simplicity of a baguette avec jambon fromage (with ham n cheese) and a little local mustard and a side of frites.

Exploring Chateau Beynac

The view from my terrace. Everyday there were balloons. It was so beautiful. I would sit with champagne and watch them and it seemed almost unreal.

I'm working on the video which is going to be amazing. If you wish to have an adventure that will change the way you see the world, I suggest a trip like this. I've been all over and this was without doubt the finest trip I've ever taken in my life. The people and food and scenery and experiences were incredible.

The region I was in is known for foie gras. Both goose and duck in which I prefer the goose liver personally. So I went to a goose farm and bought a jar of incredible foie gras. After I got back to Beynac I stopped in the village at Le Petite Tonnelle and got their incredible roast duck salad and took it down to the river bank and had a picnic. It was one of the best days I've had in a long time.
