One of my favorite things about where I live is the scallop season in the summer. I live about 30 minutes south of the biggest scallop bed in the US. The area between the Homosassa River and the Crystal River feed into the gulf...both are spring-fed rivers so the alkalinity for scallops is ideal.

Any gruyere and baguette left over makes the perfect crouton for french onion soup (my all time favourite soup even though its impossible not to burn and remove all the skin from the lining of your mouth whilst eating it).

Having spent a couple of days doing some decorating around the house decided to treat myself to some pork & fennel polpette with a spicy tomato sauce (all made from scratch I might add). Nice bottle of Bardolino to go with it :)

What does conch taste like? Is it rubbery like squid? Does it have sand grit? I've never had it before. Only seen how it is farmed and prepared. Can you compare it to something?
 
Just returned from 21 days in Europe...might be the best trip of my life. Flew to Paris for 4 nights and had lunch at the famous Bistrot Paul Bert and of course dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in the world, Chez Robert et Louise.

We then flew to Palermo for 4 nights and enjoyed the incredible food there...canoli and fresh fish and incredible pasta. From there flew to Napoli for 3 nights, the birthplace of pizza. We had pizza in the oldest known pizzeria in the world which was ridiculously good. I got a list of recommendations from Mario Batali before we left and hit most of them. All so good it hurts to think about.

Did the touristy day trip to Isle of Capri which was as beautiful and elegant as it was annoying. Rented a car and drove to Amalfi...stopping in Pompeii to see the ancient ruins which were heartbreaking and incredible also. Stayed in Praiano for 5 nights at Hotel Pelligrino which is top 3 favorite hotels ever. Incredible view and one of the best hotel restaurants I've ever seen. Bought a beautiful Capri watch I am in love with and had fresh cuttlefish ink black pasta.

Explored the Amalfi Coast- Positano, Amalfi, Sorrento and Praiano. All places I am in love with and looking forward to visiting again. I have been before but only to drive through. The road on the side of the mountain is over 750 years old and about 1 1/2 lanes so with tour buses and crazy Italians and scooters, it was as exhausting as it was beautiful. The food...the lemons and the seafood and wine.....all so perfect in every way.

From there back to Naples for a night before flying to Barcelona for 3 nights. We were supposed to spend those 3 nights in Istanbul but they are not allowing US citizens to enter. Gee, I wonder why???? Could it have something to do with the Orange retard we have in the White House? Hmmm...

Barcelona was beautiful and a city I have loved since my first visit in 2010. 3 nights wasn't enough.

I'm going through pics now...I'll share as I go.

The funny thing is that on IG there were some porn girls I know traveling in Europe escorting (of course!) and they would comment on my posts saying this and that. The best part is that I paid for my trip 100% myself and didn't sell my ass to do it. After porn going on 7 years and living a better life than I ever did doing scenes. I feel badly for those who see nothing more in themselves than turning tricks.

Damn...I got political more than once! Not my intention! :) xxx

A margherita de bufala pizza made special for me at Chez Black in Positano! There is nothing like buffalo mozzarella and the pomodoro and crust. I will never be able to eat pizza in the US again!
