I know, global warming is a liberal hoax, but still...

I never ask for respect slick. I demand it.

You threw a little hissy-fit a week or two ago, asking me not to treat you the same way as I treated Sampon. Therefore, I assumed (y'know, from you begging me not to be mean to you) that you wanted more respect. Now that we've cleared this up, and since you present your stance in the same incomprehensible shitspray like your dear departed buddy, I'll be sure not to waste my time treating you like anything but the inbred, simpering, Conservative cum-dribble that you make it clear that you are.

And this "plant growing somewhere for billions of years and that's the whole argument and don't let the fact that I'm an idiot keep you from thinking that I'm right about everything because I'm a lawyer" rap you're trying is as feeble as anything Sammwich tried to foist on us.

The brilliance of CannibusSpeak...just awesome (Dude!).
BC...It's not like you haven't made plenty of thoughtful and succinct (someone help Mariah follow this conversation, please) but Mayhem has no choice but to explain how stupid you are...like he's the Crown of Creation.
Whatever...I don't know who else but rattrap or XFire or BrokenWheel or zeeblowschickens that has ever worked on, but that group keeps trying to convince someone that they can decide who is actually smart and who's not. Hint: anyone not able to carry the other side of a factual discussion...(repeat aforementioned cabal of confused posters).
You notice they pity Mariah and never point out her really dumb generalizations and plain wrong declarations...? Yet you, Don Blue, are a Sam doppelganger...per the stoned clueless card handler.
Uh huh...

And you do a stunningly piss poor job earning it.

When have you ever carried your own side of any discussion? You and BC are the same brand of gutless pussy that Sampon was. Don't answer direct questions, change the subject and when all else fails, run like a scared little bitch.

Rattrap

Doesn't feed trolls and would appreciate it if you
I apologize in advance, but I skipped what looked like a lot of childish BS through this thread, so I may have missed some salient points. But this...

the question is not that it is happening but if it happened before. And more importantly what exactly are you doing to combat it?
...is in fact not the question. The question is: have the changes ever happened as quickly as before and if not, what's different now?

That the climate changes naturally is pretty much accepted everywhere. That the planet has gone through worse times than these are also shown in core samplings and such. None of this is really contentious. The difference - from the evidence and articles I've read - is that before these changes took place over much greater spans of time, allowing the ecosystem to change and adapt. Some things died off, others thrived, but most importantly the changes were slow enough to allow it to happen. Of course, certain catastrophic events such as impacts and super volcanoes throw this off - I read once about a theory that a volcano eruption once reduced the early human population to a handful of thousands in prehistoric times.

The idea that 'no matter what we do, the Earth will spin on' is really pointless. We're not interested in whether the Earth keeps spinning. We're interested in whether life will be tenable for us - human beings. That the contention around human-caused/accelerated climate change is an excuse to carry on wastefully is ignorant at best, immoral at worse, because regardless of climate change we know this wasteful lifestyle is bad for us and everything else. This is undeniable. Pollution floating in the ocean? Not good. Smog conditions over many major US cities that make breathing difficult? Not good. The shit that blows onto already-overpolluted California coast from China's happy-go-luck-smog spree? Not good. Mercury in our fish? Lead in our bones? Urban tumbleweeds, epic mountains of garbage hidden from the public eye containing shit that will outlast human civilization? The list goes on.

Let's put aside climate change. Let's say hypothetically that we've proven without a shadow of a doubt that human activity has no bearing on it. We still have countless reasons why our waste and energy usage does us - and everything around us - harm.

Why is there such push-back from conservatives to conserve the thing that sustains our life? What could be more important to conserve?

As usual Rattrap produces a reasoned response. Aside frow xfire, it is the only other reply to the question that I asked. that makes a concerted effort to address it. Unfortunately, by perusing the thread you missed where I asked exactly tiat . IF it had happened as quickly as it has now or if ever before. I do understand why you would want to try and drive around the cow shit filled potholes that mayhem and his Yosemite Sam style of posting always produces.
He says he served in the Gulf War so I will assume he suffers from some sort of PTSD not from seeing any actual combat but the constant pink bellies he had to endure at the hands of his fellow soldiers for being suck a whiny little bitch.

and does anyone notice how when Philbert joined in the discussion it became mean spirited? I didn't see the venomous insults being tossed about until he did so. There weer some disagreements, but no one was insulted or did I miss it?

Dude you are the cancer, not me. I have not attacked anyone. And you continue to try and climb into BC's asshole (out of habit I'm sure) with every discussion, even though he's saying he agrees with man made climate change when you don't. You clearly didn't read anything he wrote, you just went directly to checking his colon for polyps.

BC did you not read my replies? It has been answered by me more than once. This has NEVER happened in history at this rate. Ever. It has been addressed, but I guess the research of the noted scientists I gave don't muster up with you or something?

Mariah I am a conservatiue. And although I am in agreement that climate change is man made you obviously didn't include enough shiny objects with your posts that would help get my attention.

Speaking of crazy weather, Mariah is it raining cats and dogs down there? I hired a contractor to do some remodeling on my place and it has been slow going. They are painting and installing Bermuda shutters and he called me last night saying the weather might hamper them from finishing up this week. Just wondering if he is handing me a line of shit.

It is so varied from place to place, but it's not been raining here other than the typical afternoon thundershower. It actually hasn't even done that in the last few days here and I'm not far from SH. I would say he's handing you a line of shit.

As far as shiny objects, those notable scientists aren't shiny enough for you? lol Neil Degrasse Tyson is about as shiny and credible and established as it gets.

I figured the contractor was full of it. Dr. Tyson is an interesting dude. I have been up in Hatteras surfing this weekend and viewing the board from my phone so I have been skimming over video.
