How am I giving up on my own ideology just to hate on someone else's. My hypocrisy exposed? The irony lost?

As I said, I don't have a problem with those who travel on private jets or the private jet industry. More power to them. My problem is with hollywood libs lecturing the rest of us on how we need to reduce our carbon footprint while not doing the same themselves. That was the point of the meme.

Are you this comfortable comparing a Lear jet with the smokestack of a coal fired power plant? Do you want to suggest that it's Gulfstream jets that cause smog alerts in urban areas? Are you implying that it's the jet fuel industry that's choking waterways and raining mercury into the oceans?

I would have no trouble nestling into the rich, Corinthian leather of my own jet and demanding clean air and water. Just like everyone who owns a car, motorcycle, lawnmower, bass boat, etc, yes I am burning fuel. NONE of that out weighs the validity of the climate change argument or the various means of addressing it.

All of this is known perfectly well by you and a lot of your Conservative buddies. But by some stretch of the imagination, you think it's cute to bring up private jets and pretend they have anything to do with anything.

See, what you're NOT supposed to do is actually click on the links that supposedly support this headline. But I did. And no, Climate Scientists are not suddenly changing their minds over any of this. What the accumulation of reports cited are, is a disagreement on carbon reductions over the next few decades and what they will buy us.

This is where I started wondering.

One thing this paper has convinced me, is that the carbon budget concept is just simply too uncertain to be of any practical use in policy.

This guy is delivering commentary. Decent commentary, and worth looking at. But hardly "breathtaking".
