Herman Cain suspends presidential bid

No surprise there. One unqualified candidate down, just a few to go...

Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain told supporters Saturday that he is suspending his presidential campaign, which has become hobbled in recent weeks by allegations of sexual harassment and an Atlanta woman's claim that they carried on a 13-year affair.

He introduced his "Plan B" -- "continue to be a voice for the people" -- as he announced a new website, TheCainSolutions.com.

His announcement came a month before the Iowa caucuses, the first formal test of the primary season, scheduled for January 3.

Trump. Palin. Cain. And those are the fuck ups who are no longer running.

Do any of you think any of the Republican candidates are "qualified"?

I'll hang up and listen.

Thanks caller. And to answer your question, yes. Newt Gingrich. :)

This shows why unseasoned politicians will never be president. Herman Cain handled the accusation scandals very poorly from the start. Almost everyone who runs for president has this happen to them, the difference is someone who is adept to the spotlight would know how to handle it as opposed to Herman Cain who is not a true politician.

The most qualified republicans are not running right now. Gov. Christie of New Jersey is qualified. If Gingrich is the nominee Obama will win by a landslide, if Romney wins the nomination Obama will have a fight on his hands for sure cause Romney can rally the independants to his side where Newt Gingrich is very unpopular with independant voters.

Cain couldn't even speak proper English.

Go back to school, Herm. You don't "axe" someone a question, you ask them.

I saw through your scheme to sell books this whole time, poser. Now get back to making pizzas.

They meet the requirements, but they don't seem capable.
The incumbent doesn't either.

I'm rooting for the US to get it together. There seems to be so much passion and most are polarized.

He (allegedly) wrote a book, he received praise, "run, Herman, run!" and the rest is history.

Two years worth of spotty/tardy attendance in the Senate made 0bama qualified? :rofl2:

F-up up system, dude doesn't know a thing about Libya, doesn't know that china has nukes, proudly talks of his ignorance on foriegn affairs so he shoots up in the polls, but he bones a skanky white chick so his campaign is over.

Newt's not even qualified to lead his family, let alone a nation.

Nice answer. I am happy to know that infidelity disqualifies a man from raising a family in your mind. Have any people in your life that you would like to go back in time and un-vote for or punch in the mouth?

So we should choose a R.I.N.O. because you think he is qualified. Got it. We saw this movie the last time when we chose McCain the darling of the media. Explain to me how a not even one term Governor and former US Attorney is more qualified than a former speaker of the house and former Governor.
