Yes and will continue to do so. But without all the "My guy has a better academic pedigree" nonsense.
We'll leave academics out of this since all you have to stake a claim to Obama's intellectual prowess are his sheepskins.
He has accomplished more as a legislator than Obama ever did. He held Clinton's feet to the fire during the government shutdown of 1995 and won.
He orchestrated the Republican revolution of 1994.
He was able to articulate his differences with Democrats so well that it saw the poll numbers for President Clinton fall dramatically.
Now, try and make a case for Obama being smart without once relying on his academic resume'.

I haven't been campaigning on Obama's intellect but he's got plenty of it, and that he's sitting in the oval office is testament to that fact. You, on the other hand, have said on more than one occasion that Newt is "smart". Newt is nothing more than a mealy-mouthed politician and certainly isn't as smart as he thinks he is.
So GWB is smart too? Please show how Obama is smart. I have given examples of Gingrich being smart and savvy. You brought up his education and Magna Cum Laude honors.

We are talking about at the time of the shutdown. Clinton's poll numbers suffered greatly and the American people blamed him.

Weren't the approval ratings for Congress during the shutdown way, way worse than Clinton's personal ratings? Besides, I think Gingrich's amazing-and-not-an-incredibly-stupid-idea of attempting to impeach Clinton probably ruined Gingrich's appeal to many American who are not diehard Republicans. Plus that sent Clinton's approval ratings right up, so there's that too... :dunno:
The impeachment of Clinton happened after the 1996 election. And congress has always had low numbers. And are always lower than any presidents numbers.

I know the impeachment happened in 1998, but my point remains; Gingrich's attempt at ruining Clinton only served to make Clinton more endearing to the public.
And Congress might always have lower numbers than the President, but Gingrich never had an approval rating above 50% during his entire tenure as Speaker and had a disproval rating during the government shutdown that was well into the sixties. Watch the Republicans try to sweep those numbers under the carpet.
