Great lesser known movies

Cube (1997)
Driver 23 (1998 - A reality Spinal Tap)
Memento (2000)
Dark Star (1974)
Session 9 (2001 - also, very possibly the SLOWEST intense movie ever - great movie but an excercise in attention span)
The Island (2005 - interesting concept - Logan's Run-ish)
Sling Blade (1996)
Bully (2001 - I liked the movie, some people didn't, but its worth the watch anyway for Rachel Miner's awesome puffies!)

i've seen it, and it's fuckin' great.
in fact, i put it into my favorites movies list.
i love specially the part where the gangsters talk about the hip-hop nicknames and at the end of the conversation, call their friends by their nicknames. funny as hell.

Some of my favorite horror movies:
Strangeland (1998)
Dogs (Slaughter) (1976)
Salo or the 120 Days of Sodom (1976)
The Arena (1974)
The Decameron (1971)
Jungle Hell (1956)

I'm with twojarslave - Corndog Man is a real winner. Simultaneously funny and creepy, and that's hard to pull off, no?

Face to Face
A Bullet For The General
Django
Wendigo
Stage Fright (1985)
Lone Wolf & Young Cub (the entire Japanese series)
Shadow of the Vampire

I had a bunch of the soundtrack (done by Rza) burned to disc a while back. Dope shit. I think I lost the disc though. :(

All Or Nothing

Mike Leigh's entire oeuvre is highly recommendable.

Terror in a Texas Town

Sterling Hayden slaying the villain with a harpoon. Classic!

Week-end

Godard's movies mostly haven't aged well. This one is still vibrant.

Vanya On 42nd Street

Stunning. Clever. Two of my idols clash: Malle meets Cekhov. Louis Malle is one of my all-time favorite directors. Also check out: Atlantic City, L'ascenseur pour l'échafaud, and.... everything else. :D

Le jour se lève

Jean Gabin  Doubtless the most outstanding film of the poetic realism school.

Real Men-Jim Belushi, John Ritter
They Live-Roddy Piper, Keith David
All About the Benjamins-Ice Cube Mike Epps
