FreeOnes Board Voting Bloc

Coming from the man that just apologized to me in a PM, guess you don't like the fact I did not write back.

When morons who are webmasters posting prolifically to get your attention, or when morons post who simply have too much time on their hands and post 16,000 times are saying something about you...... I have the right to respond. Don't like it? Move to Russia.

You haven't heard? The Russians are 'free' now. I think in order to be blocked from certain sites...he'd actually need to move to China or Saudi Arabia...:1orglaugh

People People. This Contest is suppouse to be fun, but I'm starting to see a lot of negativity between some of our voters and contestants.

Yes I understand that it can be frustrating when your favorite girl is not high up on the voting list as you would like her to be, but at the same time don't discourage the girl who is winning just because the girl you want isn't. I kinda rambled there I hope that part made sense. Having a contest that would possibly exclude other contestants could also exclude other voters. Vicky Vette has done a wonderful job in promoting herself on and off this site and she does deserve to win for her efforts as so does many other ladies in this contest.

Don't forget gentlemen, these ladies are using their free time to post comments and pictures for your entertainment. So let's leave all the bickering back at the school yard and just enjoy some hot sexy women.

At least you can be certain that it is not Roald that you are up against then. :D

I am a lover.. not a fighter... well said Vern. I am however going back to the safety of my own thread. My foray at the invitation of the thread starter was miscalulated.

All I can say is the majority like the participation of anyone who has something reasonable, interesting or worthwhile to say ...especially the girls and their perspective.

One or two post(er)s shouldn't drive you away from the many who like you a different perspective.

Agree and disagree.

Miss Freeones is a website.. the board is a part of that. You can surf and enjoy Miss Freenones without ever signing up to the board. Having said that, yeah... the independent girls who work hard to interact with the fans are usually screwed in contests because they are not capable of posting enough links in the right places to get votes. Simple as that. Why is a girl getting votes in the middle of the night suddenly? Not because the entire nation of Fiji just voted... usually because a website link was placed. Not completely fair but you fight fire with fire. Want your girls to win? Do more of this. Rally every single board member... most of whom do NOT post & get them to vote. The only problem with that? No one will agree on who to vote for.

An interesting issue... one that maybe has no answer. Maybe there should have been a category of 'Voted on by Board Members'.

Keep rocking the vote! http://www.vote4vette.com

I think your suggestion has merit Vicky.

so right now, we all should vote for Miss Hybrid then

Do not get off topic here. This is a particular discussion on a particular subject. Whether the Regular OCSM participants on the board should be considered for the Miss FreeOnes Title.
I think that is not the Freedom that we are talking about, but do not make this thread another 'discussion on the contest thread'.

Mister Wallaby

If you organised a contest in the middle of the season between Miss Freeones contests, no one else would know there was a contest going on, other than Freeone members.

Hold the contest in an area where you had to be a member to vote.

Call it Mister Flying Wallaby Alternative Members Only Miss FreeOnes

MFWAMOMF for short

Miss Hybrid

ps

Am I in last place again, yet?

I don't know MissHybrid. But starting an unofficial voting system will not serve the purpose. And I'm against ganging up. That is undemocratic. But I agree with a part of the thread starters sentiment. FreeOnes "Best regular OCSM contributor" should have a title as such, But that is up to the Administrators.

Please take this comment as a general member of the board and not as a moderator. But a moderator is only a member who has certain privilege, but still a member only.

 to you all.

I floated the idea some time ago that there ought to be status levels for OCSMs...didn't really bring it up to Petra but I recall suggesting it for the very purpose of Miss Bowdown

Maybe OCSMs ought to have some other color name and then the pink has to be earned or granted based on some criteria...you know like...silver, gold nonsense?

I think many of them would support that and it could matter how some of them are recognized during some site specific contests..:2 cents:

This seems like a sensible idea. Not sure exactly how they might earn their stripes, but a posting rate should probably come in to it - e.g. After two months (or other reasonable time frame to get enough stats), the average number of postings per week (or day or month) should be above a certain number.
After say 100 and then 500 or 1000 posts they could move up a rank.

Maybe postings + galleries...should be something that is befitting of having earned it...maybe just maybe have a members decide who earns or keeps.:surprise::surprise::eek::D

My 2 cents. The Miss FreeOnes competition itself I can see how it relates to the whole site so if someone who isn't a member of the board or rarely posts is in the top 10 then I may not like but I can live with it.

Now the OCSM category should be strictly for the message board crowd and thus people who don't interact frequently should never have been put into this category. Furthermore, voting in this category should have been restricted to join date meaning someone just signing up for the specific purpose of voting for someone shouldn't have been eligible as they have no clue what this category is about.

The other problem is that categories should have been organized better i.e. the whole cam girl thing where actual cam girls are losing out spots to girls who aren't cam girls.

Overall though this whole competition is fairly new and a work in progress so I'm sure some of these concerns will be dealt with for next years competition.

You know how sometimes a poll may have 200 views but only 20 votes cast...Well, I don't know this to be true but I suspect it's because many who view it don't care about expressing their opinion on the question. But I have to think there is a pct that are just guests who are viewing the board in general. So in this case, there could be many guests who view these boards and have done so for a long time but have just never signed up. I was one at one time. So just because someone isn't a registered member doesn't mean they haven't spent allot of time visiting the board and aren't fairly familiar with the people and posts here.:2 cents:

Besides..that would kind of defeat the purpose...as maybe some are signing up to vote in that category specifically based on what they've seen of their visits. Would be pretty senseless to bar them when the entire exercise is about inclusion.:dunno:

I've seen the points some girls have made on this but honestly I take it that any girl who performs cam shows should be able to compete in the category. I mean, it's best cam girl..not who makes x amount doing it or how many hours put in... Maybe it simply should be based on who you like according to the quality of their shows....of course their will be a certain amount of natural popularism involved in the votes of some but whatever...:dunno:

Which is more of an incentive for them to sign up. Registering doesn't take much effort so in essence if you aren't registered then you don't exist even if you've been lurking for years.

Right. So if a person who's been on the board as a guest for some time and they decide to join for the contest..but discover they will be barred from voting in some or all categories...why would they then sign up?

If I hadn't before....and was moved to for the contest but ran into a hassle with restrictions etc...I would just say forget it....

You gotta understand...people don't want to be spammed and they see signing for anything to do with any site...especially one dealing with porn is just opening the flood gates to a ton of spam for the next 6 months. So anything that discourages an already hesitant individual will likely convince them it's not important enough or worth it to deal with the hassle.

If they don't to put in an effort then they don't vote. Simple. I don't get spam from this site. If they're that paranoid about spam then set up an extra e-mail account for all the stuff you sign up for. There has to be a set of ground rules in place otherwise you get what you have now. Basically, if you're a lurker then you don't exist in the eyes of the message board.

Fair enough. It's not just that I disagree but I tend to do so because I don't think it helps the effort of what it seems FOs is trying to accomplish.
