FreeOnes Board Voting Bloc

WE are the ones who post here. WE are the ones who spend our time here. WE are the ones who interact here. WE are the various pieces that make this board work.

Yet, for the Miss FreeOnes contest, WE are getting pushed aside and outvoted by outsiders from other sites who only support a person and could care less about OUR board and OUR participation. This board is a FreeOnes board for FreeOnes members, and Miss FreeOnes is and should be OUR contest. Understandably, we don't always get along, vote the same, or have the same tastes, but I am certain that we would all rather have a winner that cares about their fans, posting here, and interaction than someone who doesn't. I propose that, if necessary in the Final Round, we all stand and vote together to ensure that, in every category, one of OUR contestants wins.

It's not an idea of enforcing anything, it's the idea of all of us posters here banding together to allow one of our own to win, instead of someone who could really care less about us, posting, or any sort of interaction here.

Miss Freeones is a website.. the board is a part of that. You can surf and enjoy Miss Freenones without ever signing up to the board. Having said that, yeah... the independent girls who work hard to interact with the fans are usually screwed in contests because they are not capable of posting enough links in the right places to get votes. Simple as that. Why is a girl getting votes in the middle of the night suddenly? Not because the entire nation of Fiji just voted... usually because a website link was placed. Not completely fair but you fight fire with fire. Want your girls to win? Do more of this. Rally every single board member... most of whom do NOT post & get them to vote. The only problem with that? No one will agree on who to vote for.

An interesting issue... one that maybe has no answer. Maybe there should have been a category of 'Voted on by Board Members'.

I agree in principle but like Vicky V said everyone has a different opinion or favourite girl. But if it at least makes people think before they vote you've done well .. with us guys it's usually our "Mr Winky" that does all the thinking. .. Good job FW.

I was hoping that, at the end of this round, we could meet here and perhaps agree on a contingency contestant who, if things start to slip away, we could band together and vote for. Sort of like having a caucus, you know?

If you organised a contest in the middle of the season between Miss Freeones contests, no one else would know there was a contest going on, other than Freeone members.

Hold the contest in an area where you had to be a member to vote.

Sorry, as soon as I read "Alternative Members Only" all I can think of is making it solely for fans of Motorhead and the Ramones. Seriously, who would be willing to put themselves up for the competition, considering that there is no prize but bragging rights, and what do we make the qualification for competing? I totally agree with what you are saying and I think it is a fantastic idea, but I would require some help with the organization.
