Football (soccer) Summer Transfers

Lucas Neil of Blackburn Rovers is going to Barcelona

Brett Emerton of Blacburn is also looking for a move

Liverpool have made three signings, Chilean international Mark Gonzalez a right sided midfielder, who has great pace and a good cross. Rafa Benitez tried to sign him last summer, but was refused a work permit. Also Brazilian left back Fabio Aurelio on a free transfer from Valencia. Argentinain defender Gabriel Paletta from Banfield.

Owen Hargreaves linked with Manchester United, along with Kalichenko, Simao and Riquelme

I'll be honest with you here, why bother with who's rumoured or linked. As these often lead to nothing, I could have posted at least 50 players from the world cup linked to Liverpool. Then another 50 who isn't there in the last month or so, but I just don't see the point of that.

I prefer to put who has actually moved like Lee Bowyer from Newcastle to West Ham.

I'm a Liverpool fan, but like I said how many do you want to post that aren't going to happen. I could name you 4 strikers we've been linked too in the last 2 days. But is it worth it, as I know we are most likely not going to sign them. This is the same case with most the players your posting. So like I say whats the point ?

PS
When people say I'm a United fan to me, I think Sheffield United not Manchester United like you meant:o

Which United? Newcastle, Sheffield, West Ham, Rotherham, Manchester.

This is a funny one, I work in Rotherham with lots of their fans. None of them call them United and they've just signed a Bolton striker Delroy Facey. Also ex Liverpool reserve and youth player Ritchie Partridge from Sheffield Wednesday.

Wigan have sign former England international Emile Heskey from Birmingham for 5.5 million. LMAO what a waste of money, 5 goals in 44 games last season and spends more time on the floor than stood up.

Adrian Mutu has moved from Juventus to Fiorentina for 8 million Euro.
As part of a deal with the Viola, Valeri Bojinov has moved from Fiorentina to Juventus.

Also, Didier Deschamps is now officially the new coach of Juventus.

Didier Zokora has completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur from the french team Saint-Ettiene.

Zokora - great move for Spurs... not sure about Berbatov...

I'm so disappointed with Liverpool. I'm sure Alves - if he makes it - and the other guys I've never heard of are all great... but I was a big fan of Cisse. He's gone now, and apparently, Bellamy is his replacement. I like Bellamy, in fact I think he'd be a great second striker, but with Crouch and Fowler the only other guys up front... I don't know. I really wanted a big name in there, and then Benitez says he doesn't have any money: I thought he was getting a transfer windfall. I just wanted one huge name to Liverpool. Maybe if the Juve's of the world are demoted, we can get a couple of their lads on the cheap? Esp. if Milan go down too... how about Zambrotta to Liverpool? He can play left or right, midfield or defence... how about a swoop for Filippo Inzaghi or Luca Toni? Gilardino? Hmm. Well, hopefully Milan don't get relegated, they're my team.

I didn't think Emile Heskey would ever get 1.5 million, let alone a record transfer to Wigan for 5.5... crazy... maybe they see something in him the rest of us don't... Liverpool should sign Bent from Charlton... that would be a great buy. I still want Torres, but oh well.

Fox

Over the moon that Cisse gone, I take it you don't see much Sky Sports Fox. All Cisse done for the last few weeks is slag off Rafa and the some of the club. Plus he never did anything really, alot of his goals were lucky or the keeper made a mistake. My view on Bellamy signing is above. Right out of the plays you list there I don't want Any of them really, especialy Bent, as I don't think he's proven himself good enough yet. The only one I'd be half happy with is Inzaghi and he'd be over priced. Out of the latest three signings Mark Gonzalez is a fast skillful right winger and has a good cross, is already one of the top Chilean players at 21. Fabio Aurelio (26) is said to be the next Brazilian left back now Carlos has retired. Plus is said to be great at crossing, set pieces and his passing is supposed to be better than Alonso. Gabriel Paletta is a centre back and at 20 is supposed to be better than Ayala was at his age. He's rated the top young centre back in South America and looking at him, he's just like a good old English centre back in build.

Rafa has about 15 million left in the transfer kitty, but don't expect him to just go buying players for the sake of it. He really does his homework on them and has them really scouted before he makes a move for them. He'll only buy who he thinks is right and if no one he likes is available then he won't buy anyone. He's today been slagging Chelsea off, especially Jose, which has been really funny and true what he's been saying.
