Eminem

I used to.

The Way I Am changed that for me though. That album was his best work, IMO.

I don't know. A metaphoric example that it sort of reminds me of is boxers of the last few decades when the sport has fallen off. The few people that rise to the top are there more because they are a medium size fish in a small pond and all their competition sucks even worse than they do than they fact they are historically good. So it is with music.

Plus the fact rap generally sucks doesn't help him in by book.

His last two albums really just played to level of his competition, which was good by any stretch. Lemme put it this way, if he came out with his last album first, it surely would've been his only album. With that being said, lemme end on this...

Rappers these days need to understand that they should be thankful for the men that murdered Notorious BIG. Most of them owe their entire career to them.

IMO... the last decade has definetly been raps worst. Em really just stayed afloat.

Yes he is overrated. He's made a bunch of terrible albums and his schtick was worn out even on his good albums. He likes to bust on dumb celebrities all the time like Weird Al Yankovic.

Not too into the new album, I don't care to hear him try to 'sing', he got big by his rhymes and delivery not his vocal talent.

I'm glad he's turning his life around but I don't care to hear him 'sing' about that, I'd still rather hear him rap about homosexuals and vicodin :D

It's ironic since Al Yankovic is probably both smarter, funnier, and more talented than he is.

I know he gets a lot of respect for his longevity and talent, but Yankovic is the original and never portrays himself as anything but a clown. Eminem takes himself quite seriously and invested quite a bit of time in bashing a female R&B singer.

he's alright.
