It's not healthy being curious about Paranoia. That's what gets you on clone 6 before even starting the game. :eek:

I've started recording my vampire sessions to make some videos out of. Of course, I could always put a live stream up too...only problem is we play when you're asleep.

In that case maybe the people on this thread will stumble upon even more ideas what will be "fun" for them. I'm sure the booze they bring to the games helps a lot for that, even if the alcohol is probably above their clearance level.

I may run a paranoia game on Google Hangout. I have a friend in the UK that fell in love with it when she was over for New Years. Her hubby is on assignment in the middle east and would probably kill for something other than driving a big blue bus in the desert...and then of course Squally wants to play. And I'm sure I can rope Aeryn into it...

Wonder if I can get all of us online for 2-4 hours at the same time??

I'm not familiar with Google Hangout. If I had to guess I don't think I have the bandwith to pull it off unless it's just similar to the old instant messaging programs from way back in the day. I don't know if it would matter or not, but I own nothing as far as paranoia material goes and haven't read any of the source material for it in a long time.

I was finally able to travel to a secure WiFi spot and download some apps for my tablet, yay. I got a bunch of readers for both PDFs and epub stuff, and some nifty dice rollers, even some of the 3D ones. You wouldn't think somebody could find a lot of enjoyment out of just mindlessly rolling electronic dice,...but here I am. :1orglaugh I forgot about the name of the app Petra mentioned unfortunately.

I was also thinking about buying some books for my tablet, but the electronic version of the ones I want cost as much and often more than the freaking softcover copies of them, WTF. I'm I the only one that finds that ridiculous?

Google hangout is kind of like a conference call with cams and microphones. Not sure how much of a strain it is on the system.

And as far as knowing about paranoia, that's above your clearance level. It's not healthy to dig farther.

its surprisingly fun. my group is anything but nerds. hell, ive seen bobbi starr and sasha grey in action playing some D&D.

Sometime later today I'm probably going to get on the Torment: Tides of Numenera kickstarter. Ironically, I didn't even get on the table top Numenera one from last year, although if it turns out well I might buy that later also.

It's sad that all the decent RPG video game prospects of today have to go this route to get off the ground. Then again maybe it will be better when a game is made by people that like making them good for the sake of a good game.

My players actually managed to get a full 4xp yesterday! They went and did stuff! Who knew throwing 6 random bandits that didn't mean jack shit to the story at them would light the fire under their asses?

my players made it to level 4 in our ravenloft game. i started printing out treasure and putting it in a little plastic treasure chest and letting them draw a piece at random.

seems like a real winner.

It was really funny with the bandits...one survived and they interrogated him and threatened him. Then, all at once, they ALL got the idea to make him their ghoul. Which was hilarious because we ended up almost having to go into iniative for it.
