I don't know how true it is because I haven't been paying that much attention to it, but I heard a rumor that Pathfinder might be doing a pirate oriented adventure path series. :dunno:

There's a house rule floating around out in D&D land where there are no critical failures or successes. 1 = -10 and 20 = +10 so if you have enough modifiers you might just succeed.

As a level 1, that -10 hurts. But as you go up levels, the -10 gives you more of a fighting chance than a crit failure at 1.

it went rather well. it was nice to meet other gamers. they were no where as bad as i thought they were gonna be.
