Convicted criminal President Donald Trump's Legacy

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I just hope this will be enough to dis qualify him from holding office.

I get it, but there is a decent size, and hopefully growing group of republicans that want nothing to do with him. I'm hoping more for disqualification, then incarceration. And lets be honest here Lux, being unwanted, and cast aside, would hurt him more, then going to a country club, or dipping into his pocket change.

I think it's more than likely he won't get the nom if he runs. Or might be disqualified/not run at all given everything else going on.

The big question for me is whether he would consider destroying the GOP's chances by running as a 3rd party to be a negative or a positive.
A) Does he want to be blamed by republicans (incl trumpers) for a 2024 dem win?
or
B) If the GOP loses, will he take that as a badge of honour and a measure of his influence?

He's is also taking a large risk if he make a 3rd party, and the GOP still wins in 2024 - that would be ideal as it would cement the fact that the GOP no longer needs him.

Hey there now, I'm sure ol' Trump will do the right thing by the GOP. I mean as fine and upstanding a person as he is he would never stoop so low as vindictiveness and being petty. He's not narcissistic so he will absolutely be willing to go away from the spotlight, admit he's was wrong and to blame, or admit he's not the best. Most of all he will absolutely under no circumstances be willing to go totally fucking scorched earth on people's asses once he has no more use for them let alone if he thinks they betrayed him or turned away from him. That's just not Trump at all.

Oh yeah, by the way, he has cultist now.

Damn it's a shame that Republicans didn't do something, like you know, impeach him when they had a chance. Why do that when you can play Dr. Frankenstein and create a monster for you own short term benefit. It's not like anybody is ever going to lose control of the monsters they create. There only hope is that Democrats actually do stuff for them like maybe charge him with crimes he actually goes to prison for. Even that I wouldn't count on.

Oh yeah, by the way, he has cultist now. Did I mention that.

It's anecdotal for sure so take it for what it's worth, but even where I'm at which isn't the most hardcore of Republican strongholds I still see Trump bumper stickers, and Trump flags, like new flags, put up and moved just this week so they weren't just left there by laziness. A lot of those people hate Republicans only somewhat to a lesser degree than the hate they have for Democrats. People forget that. They will go with and throw in their lot with Trump NO MATTER WHAT.

Lest just say, for the sake of argument, conservatively, he pulls away only 5% of the republican voters if he runs independent, let alone the Republicans that give up on voting altogether in that kind of situation. That would be devastating,...DEVASTATING, for the Republican party. Like a potential swing of losing dozens and dozens of house members and maybe double digit senators type of swing because things are that close in a lot of places. Also, don't forget the affect he has on people that hate him to come out to vote in opposition to him. A normal boring Republican would make a lot of apathetic democrat voters stay home, as much as I hate to admit it.

About the only hope for Republicans at this point are that:

He dies before the next election
He goes to prison before the next election. I mean actual prison, not him or his organizations being sued or some slap on the wrist because that will mean shit.
Or somewhere in that narcissistic and stupidity addled mind of his he actually realizes losing again would be humiliating and he goes away because of that.

I wouldn't bet the house on any of those three happening. By the way did I mention he has cultist now that will go with him no matter what, and they are legion.

True. Dem apathy is a powerful weapon - so many Bernie supporters staying at home was arguably a major factor in 2016.

That said, which is more significant: the apathic democrats who don't vote because of a boring GOP candidate, or a hardcore republicans who will only vote for a "maverick" GOP candidate? Because you can't have both

I can't believe you wrote that. You're joking right? This guy lives for the limelight. It's part of his personality. He can't take losing. You won't see him take responsibility for the January 6th Insurrection. Even though everyone knows that he caused it. He still claims election fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election. He's still is angry. Maybe even butt-hurt. Put it another way, he is a Loser!!

He uses (his attorneys) to get him out of any bad situation. He's been doing that all his life. He tried suing in the Courts and everything is now backfiring on him. Besides calling up Brad Raffensperger in Georgia and asking for more votes, the Insurrection, and the Confidential Documents taken from Mar-A-Lago, etc, etc.

Don't tell me he didn't know anything about what Allen Weisselberg and Jeffrey McConney were doing. They were committing tax fraud in the Trump Organization. He has to know. He would be a person to sign the perjury statement. His personal tax returns prepared by Mazars are most likely littered with misrepresentations and fraud as well. I can't imagine that the Internal Revenue Service hasn't stopped investigating him on his personal returns as well as those of the Trump Organization. Those investigations are probably still going on.

Then you know how he inflated values of his properties to get favorable bank loans and better insurance on them. Letttia James and the New York State Attorney General Office have him in their gun sights. Expect indictments every soon in New York State, then more from Jack Smith and the Garland Merrick led Justice Department. And in Atlanta when they investigate the telephone call with the Georgia Secretary of State about obtaining more votes. They have him on tape for that one. It's just a matter of time. Soon his life will be falling apart.

And lastly, if he doesn't get the results he wants he cries like a baby.

GOP Congressman Wanted Trump to Invoke ‘Marshall Law’ to Stay in Office: Leaked Texts

Mark Meadows texted with 34 lawmakers about overturning the 2020 election, including a confused Rep. Ralph Norman

FORMER WHITE HOUSE Chief of Staff Mark Meadows was forced to hand over 2,319 text messages to the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. The trove of text messages were obtained by Talking Points Memo, which on Monday reported on the extent to which Meadows was communicating with members of Congress about overturning the 2020 election.

While CNN previously reported that Meadows was kept informed of efforts to seize voting machines and other schemes to overturn President Biden’s win by Trump allies in contested states, the TPM report identifies a startling message from Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) to Meadows, sent on Jan. 17, 2021, just three days before Joe Biden was scheduled to take office.
In the text, Norman appears to propose that then-President Trump impose martial law — or, as Norman put it, “Marshall Law” — during his final hours of office to overturn the election in his favor.
Mark, in seeing what’s happening so quickly, and reading about the Dominion law suits attempting to stop any meaningful investigation we are at a point of no return in saving our Republic !! Our LAST HOPE is invoking Marshall Law!! PLEASE URGE TO PRESIDENT TO DO SO!!” Norman wrote.

The series also shows that Meadows was at the center of hundreds of incoming discussions among 34 members of Congress about plans to help Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
Several members of Congress were also identified as leading players in the effort to undo Trump’s loss and messaged Meadows about plans to challenge the election results including Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), and Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.).
Rep. Brooks texted Meadows on Dec. 21, 2020, referring to plans to hold a “White House meeting regarding formulation of our January 6 strategies.” Soon after, Meadows messaged Fox News personality Brian Kilmeade, confirming the meeting happened.

Martial law to stay in office, isn't that exactly what some republicans accused Obamaof planning ?
