Luxman I am a pessimist by nature. I am rarely disappointed and occasionally pleasantly surprised. That said, evil assholes they might be, but the Trumpistas do know how to follow orders. And they do. The Dems have almost no organization and Americans are like the sheep my Daddy used to talk about. Although maybe domestic turkeys' might be a better comparison To dumb to come out of the rain.

I don't think it's that simple.
The Democratic party is often it's own worse enemy. While it's alright to talk about how bad Trump was because he was a piece of shit, and it's alright to talk about cultural issues that need to be addressed, at the end of the day they need more than that. They need real substantive policy issues that they not only need to talk about, but more importantly also fight like hell to bring about, and they just don't do that. They can't just take the easy way out and do just the Trump bad and culture war spiel and call it a day.
They need to do things to very fundamentally make everyday peoples lives better, and they either only pay lip service to that, or when the slightest Republican opposition challenges that they will fold like a piece of paper. Too many of them are corporate shills that are just less honest about being corporate shills than the Republicans.
I also have a feeling at the end of the day the Democrats will somehow warp stuff like this to make it seem like it's the progressives fault, instead of it being the fault of their lack of fighting for things that will actually help people.

My point was Trump went to Atlanta instead of Houston. The chop was just gravy.

I'm a lifelong Dodger fan who used to go out with a gal from Atlanta. She hated Bob Horner for some reason so I'd look for any excuse to bring his name up. I also would bring Pepsi in the house while she was a loyal Atlanta Coca-Cola lady. I'd do the Chop myself if Florida State was beating up on Georgia.
When do you think Washington DC will finally be courageous enough to give their football team a name? I'm sure there are some good ones about politicians swirling around.
