I'll say it again... anyone trying to score political points off this tragic incident is beneath contempt. This Congresswoman was widely respected from all sides of the political spectrum and was viewed as a conservative "blue dog" Democrat. Trying to lay blame on a political party or ideology for this is absurd and quite frankly, hateful... this was a disturbed person, not the product of any movement, and he alone is responsible for his actions. :2 cents:

Facetious doesn't hand negative rep out. He is a good and decent gun-toting American, but he is one-hundred percent accurate when he says the majority of shooting are happening in poor neighborhoods with drug dealers and other lowlifes.
For example, when I go to my aunt's land, all you can hear on the surrounding property is gun shots, and they have had a total of ONE homicide (domestic, of course) in the entirity. I feel safer in that area then I ever would in North Minneapolis and everyone packs by her land (legally, of course). God bless 'em. :hatsoff:

Gifford was Jewish so you can't rule out this as a factor until the suspect is questioned, there is no clear motive at the moment so her religious afilitaion needs to be considered. Beck is a Germanic name and I believe you do get some German Jews who changed their surname to Beck during the emancipation of the Jews in Germany 2 centuries ago.

Something that conspiracy guy WTC alluded to was that on her YouTube site she is subsribed to Jared Lee Loughner's YouTube site and he appears to be right, whether it could have been hacked I don't know but very strange.
