Maher is all right, but he is an elitist, smug, self-righteous dude a lot of the time. He hangs out at the Playboy mansion with Hollywood elites, not giving out turkeys during Thanksgiving. My parents do more for their community than Maher has likely ever done. That said, he's all right but he comes off really smug sometimes. But I do watch the show when I am at my folks. It's nice when it's balanced with rights and lefts.

The Christianity bashing is over the top. Until he bashes Islam like a real man, I see him as a coward. He would never, because he would have a bounty on his head in 24 hours. I remember after 9-11 he bashed Americans as the "cowards" and Muslims as the real men. That was pretty sad. :dunno:

That's my main beef with him too. He has brains and can point out flaws in society (which can incidentally turn out to be funny), but he has an air of arrogance about him that l feel if he wasn't famous, rich, and heard of, he wouldn't have.

I watched that entire 4 minutes of drivel and I noticed that nothing positive (at all) came from it. What about spending that 4 minutes of time educating the public about what they don't know according to his statistics. Fuck no, he doesn't get paid for that. He gets paid to put down and ridicule.
