Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
I don't mean to take your thread off topic, Marlo. But here's a Bloomberg link that details what BofA and Wachovia (later bought by Wells Fargo) did. A lot of other U.S (and foreign) based banks and financial institutions are named too. But BofA and Wachovia seemed to have their hands in it deeper than about anyone else. Bravo, to Bloomberg. But no, this didn't make the nightly news anywhere else. Not NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN or Fox (as far as I know).

BTW, search the story to see what kinds of prison sentences were levied. I couldn't find a word about the U.S. sending any of these bastards to jail.

Don't you think this is just like The Wire? Wasn't it Season 1 when Daniels' unit caught that stooge for a Congressman picking up bags of cash from the Barksdale crew at the lowrisers. And as soon as the Congressman's name was brought into it, they told Daniels to drop the case... and give the money back.

But just like on that TV show, what are cops obsessed with? Putting (little bits of) "dope on the table."

Two different issues, I know. But I think if cops were freed up to be actual po-lice, a lot of the community based violent crime could be addressed more effectively. And like you said, if these HUGE sums of coke and heroin weren't making it in to begin with, how could it be sold on the street (like it is now)?

Banks Financing Mexico Gangs Admitted in Wells Fargo Deal

I haven't had the time to really research all the links you provided, but when big business gets involved in organized crime and street level criminal activity I think they are being blindsided by the "PEOPLE" they are dealing with directly, which are legitimate business men taking kickbacks or playing both sides of the law, they appear to be legal and legit, but yet they are really criminals with clean wRAP sheets (NO POLICE RECORD) for those that don't know what a wRAP sheet is, and these are the educated criminals doing all the communicating and connecting aspect of all these criminal / big business relationships while both sides are (MAKING A KILLING) profiting and making all the $$$$ they do from associating with one another.. it all goes hand in hand in a revolving circle... like "Daniels" said, FOLLOW the $$$$...

"Yes you will" says T-X...

Errrr.. I am not sure what your saying or what your reply has to do with this topic / thread, if it has any merit other than trying to be funny please explain / elaborate if you will? on what you posted.. :dunno::confused:

I think you've noticed how gun violence ALWAYS escalates. when they're trying to pass laws prohibiting firearms...and I don't mean, they try after the violence, I mean they try, and coincidentally, fucktards start shooting shit up. I know you've seen newscasters go off about the kind of gun used...and they have no clue about what they're talking about.

You want to stop criminals from getting guns...provide a tool for ANY private seller. A toll free number to call, and do a back round check, on the person he's selling the gun to. the ONLY reason they want to do away with gun shows, is because they can't keep track of the guns in the hands of the LAW ABIDING citizens...they could give a fuck less about criminals getting guns, that's how they generate billions of dollars for their bullshit war on gang violence, or their ridiculous war on drugs.

I kind of follow what your saying, but I am not understanding the last part? exactly how do they generate billions for the war on gang violence / drugs??? I understand they can't keep up with the paperwork from gun shows, because they don't know or can't follow the law abiding citizens that purchase there weapons from the guns shows? I don't follow or can't understand why they don't care about the criminals buying guns??? I thought that's what the whole fight was about, the criminals getting ahold of the guns and committing all these horrendous crimes??? I am not crossing you my friend, nor am I disagreeing with you.... I just lost or am misunderstanding your post... due to constant drug use I am a bit slow. :D:anonymous

Government funding, generates BILLIONS of dollars for the war on drugs...but have they even made a scratch in the flow? No...because they don't want to, if they did, the money train would end. If they stopped the flow, or made them legal, they would loosed a shitload of cash, because they would have to end the programs that combat the illegal flow, and put a lot of people out of work. Same principal with the gang units, and task forces that fight organized crimes. If they took the guns from criminals, why would they need as many law enforcement officers? How would they justify their slice of the budget? A lot of people, make a lot of money from this, and not just the dealers.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
Well as a Citizen of this area I am surprised that the Detroit Chief of Police actually wanted to release this video to the public, so we could see the heroism of the officers. When you watch it and realize its NOT Hollywood special effect in some movie, but a REAL LIFE FIRE FIGHT its quite chilling.

here it is..

and some more about the incident and video..
