Brock Lesnar, UFC heavyweight champion.

Well said Nina.At least someone gets that he's an arrogant cocky asshole.
And Whalers, people were booing more for the fact that Couture lost more so than Brock winning, imo.Randy is a fan favorite and probably the most liked and respected fighter by fans and other fighters alike.

oh i don't doubt they were. i love randy. i wouldn't boo PERIOD i hate the fans who attend Live UFC ppv's. minus the ones who posted here that they have gone to a live ppv.

Professional wrestlers are still a joke. Thing is Brock Lesnar was an NCAA champion and is a genetic freak of an athlete. Don't lump him in with 99% of the other pro wrestlers out there.

Um, no they are not. :nono:

If you still believe wrestlers are a joke...

I have a challenge for you.....step in the ring with one. :D

Kebert? Are you related to Q*bert?

Credit to UFC...they saw the money in the fight and went for it...so what if Brock was in only his 4th fight? Coture had to agree to face him as well, so Randy must have seen the potential. An awesome fight, but the challenge will be in holding on to the belt.

I'd do it in a heartbeat, at least a guy my size. Jiu Jitsu > Steroids

Kurt Angle > You

(Yes, I am aware that you will probably say he should not be lumped in with pro wrestlers, but he is one. He's a pro wrestler who just so happens to be a gold medalist, so...:wave2:)

I think the real potential that Randy saw was how much money he would make from the fight.

If anyone out of pro wrestling would'vd been champ Brock is the one. Goldberg maybe.

Goldberg?I don't think so.He's was way too injury prone,if you remember, and that's why his wrestling career didn't last that long. Two fights in UFC and he would've been on the shelf for about a year, then he'd try to come back and just get hurt again.

Don't get me wrong,I liked Goldberg in WCW,but he's not a real fighter.

If you are looking for someone out of pro wrestling that might(and I emphasize the word "might") fight and become champ in UFC,then probably look at some of the guys that were in ECW back in the day.If for nothing else, the amount of pain these guys could take was unreal.New Jack,Taz,and maybe RVD,that's about it,and even that's a stretch.

I reckon Angle would have had a good shot at becoming a champ about 5 years ago if he dedicated himself like Brock has as he already has a good starting point for MMA but most of the wrestlers wouldn't have much of a shot.

Exactly. He was in the middle of a contract issue. Love for the sport didn't bring him back until he saw the ka-chinng. Who can blame him?

Undertaker has said if he were a younger man he'd go the MMA way...Angle could have done it at some point as well.
