Brock Lesnar, UFC heavyweight champion.

Working his ass off to make sure he is the best It shows he isn't going to rest until he became champ and hopefully he keeps improving and proves he belongs in the UFC.

Noguirea will own Mir, and then he will own Lesnar.

I have a feeling the heavyweight title will go around alot. There isnt a dominant fighter in that division. Lesnar could win it back, but I just dont think he has the experience to go up against guys like Mir, Noguiera, Barnett(supposedly making a comeback), probably a rematch with Couture and HOPEFULLY we will see Emilienko in the ring, showing UFC what a real heavyweight looks like.

Get hit in the temple by a guy with Brock's power and then tell me if was fake.
Ok,so I just wathed it again and I'm still not too convinced that the punch that Brock threw was too much for Randy to take.now maybe the knee that Randy took right before that is what really rung his bell, but I've seen Couture take waaay harder shots than that and still stay on his feet.Hell,if anything,he should've been dropped by the elbow that Brock threw in the first round.

Even the announcer said the Randy got "grazed" on the back of the neck.

How can you say that? Mir already beat him and Nog would have no problem beating as well. Yes the list becomes fairly short after that but there are still plenty of fighters that can take him.

Mir won on a tap out,but did he really beat him? After watching the fight,I do think that unless Lesnar becomes a better fighter,he will probably lose again to Mir.I haven't seen a whole lot of Lesnar fights, but it seems that once he wrestles his opponent to the mat,he really doesn't know what to do with them,or maybe Randy's ground defense just made Brock's ground game look not too great.

It took skill to win the championship, I'll give him that. However, the only reason he got the shot in the first place is because he is famous. If he can hold on to that title for awhile, I'm sure everyone's opinions on him will change, but for now, he's just a champion that caught a lucky break to me.

The one thing about MMA is that it seems that anyone can get beat at anytime,no matter how good you think you are. What makes a fighter great isn't if he wins the belt, but how much he learns from both his wins and losses. That's why I think that pound for pound GSP is the best MMA fighter around. He never loses to the same person twice, and not only that,he make them look silly in rematches.

I know that Brock will lose eventually, but I just want to see him get his ass totally kicked.

That would be great. Lesnar is a good fighter, but he's a fucking tool.

But don't tell him I said, that, cause he might kill me.

Yeah,I really don't care for his cock sure attitude. It makes him come off as a real prick.

where do anyone of you see this attitude?
i see the guy taking his training seriously,Dana white in an interview on Opie & Anthony from the PRESIDENT of the UFC's mouth "brock has nothing but respect for this business and the guys who presently do it or the guys who came before him. he wants to fight in the UFC because he knows these guys are the best fighters in the world and he feels that fighting anywhere else, would not give him the challenge HE wants to make himself the best"
is this hate for brock because he used to be in the WWE?
if so there was really nowhere for him to go after college and when the WWE comes offering a 6 FIGURE CONTRACT he took it....i guess you guys would turn it down?
would you rather him be here? or somewhere else where we can't watch him be a BEAST, like Fedor who IMO....IMO...is scared to fight in the UFC cause he will lose. that's just my opinion i don't think this guy is really as good as everyone says.if he is he would stop letting his "advisors" make his decisions for him and be a man and step up to the plate so randy could knock him the fuck out

Watch the end of the Couture fight. He,Brock Lesnar, admits that he may seem to come off as cocky but he feels that he's just confident. So forget about what Dana says, because it's irrelevant. No one said that he didn't respect the the business or any of the fighters,I just said that he seems to be an asshole and that has nothing to do with respect.

As for his skill set as a fighter, shit,I wouldn't want to get in the octagon with him.I consider him to be one of the toughest SOB around. And have no qualms about his stint in the WWE,but still,it has nothing to do with the attitude that he projects.

i feel that his attitude is better than ALOT of guys who get into that freakin Cage...like a junie brownie from TUF
or just about any young guy today who goes to the gym and thinks he's a "CAGE FIGHTER".
i am so short on names of guys with bad attitudes. if i can get some to see if you agree i will post them tomorrow

I am not trying to piss anyone off I have been watching Brock since back in his WWF days but he was not only too cocky (not Confident there is a thin line) but also disrespectful to Randy Couture by saying he was "old" and some other comments made, maybe he should have said "it is an honor to fight such a Champion and Legend!" I like Brock but I don't think he has the right attitude for a Champion...right now.

I agree I am hoping Browning gets his ass handed to him soon I can't stand him! He is borderline BiPolar, but he is also not a champion and no where near being one..LOL

You know, the funny thing is that there is a lot of shit talking before every fight,Not just Brock but almost every fighter does it.Most of which, imo,is egged on by Dana just to try to pump up the fight, just like they do in the WWE.

I will give Brock credit for at least giving respect to Randy after the fight though, but in general, you are right Nina,he's always been cocky, even back in WWE.Even though it's staged,It seems like his personality on camera wasn't too much of a strech of how he really is.

i understand the feeling he is cocky or has an attitude. do you want him to walk to the cage or before a fight say"i know randy has done alot for this business and he's a legend but i think if i fight my fight i hope to lose to him, so all my training for this fight would be a waste"
it's not that it's an attitude but i think it's a mental thing where you need to feel like you are unbeatable so you can get pumped up.
i play ice hockey (defenceman) and i feel that i am unbeatable, that nobody has any type of good moves that can fool me or deke past me but it's not because im cocky it's because if i go into the game feeling that my opponent IS better...than i have already lost mentally.
i have said to fowards skating towards me with the puck "what? what are you gonna do?you got nothing i haven't seen" i try to get under their skin or into their heads to try to take them off their game.
i have been beaten and deked the fuck out of my skates but i need to get a mental edge or i will just not play smart positionally and not help my team on the ice

It's not cockyness if you can back it up. :) Just my :2 cents:

No one is gonna argue Brock's talent. He is a very tough guy, but in order to to be a true Champion he needs to be less of a braggart. No one wants to hear that you were a bully in school and that because he was bigger than everyone else he went to the front of the line and lunch and took other kids food. That is what he said!! No one likes bullies!!! He has no respect and if he shows it ...it is fake. Instead of saying ... It is a honor to fight a Champ like Randy Couture and I am happy to get the chance to show the world what I can do against a Champ like him. He says Randy is too old to be in the ring with me and I am gonna fuck him up. That is not very cool or respectful of Randy or the sport. If someone has talent that is great but let all of us put you on that pedestal, when you walk around putting yourself on a pedestal no one wants to hear it. And most importantly when he loses..... and he will everyone will cheer the man that put a bully in his place.

the crowd booed him when he won at the PPV. but those Cali/west coast idiots boo everything, if 2 fighters are in the clinch against the cage for 45 seconds the crowd immediately starts to boo instead of watching to see who has the skills to get out of the move or who can counter and get the opponent to the mat.i like the guy always have i guess im partial to him because i watch Wrestling and watched his whole career.
im not arguing this attitude/cockyness discussion anymore it's all about opinion anyway

Well said Nina.At least someone gets that he's an arrogant cocky asshole.
And Whalers, people were booing more for the fact that Couture lost more so than Brock winning, imo.Randy is a fan favorite and probably the most liked and respected fighter by fans and other fighters alike.
