when i watch porn i focus on the chick...her face, her tits bouncing, etc. whether or not the dude is wearing a condom makes no difference to me. as long as the dude gets to cum on her face without a condom on :D

I don't know if that's a good analogy. Wearing a hardhat doesn't really affect the end product of what they make at all. A better one would be like saying that stuntmen on the set of a movie shouldn't do anything potentially dangerous, which pretty much every thing they do is, because even though the movie might not be visually appealing then it's not worth them getting hurt just to please movie goers.

Fine, different analogy. NHL players being forced to wear face shields. Alot of players complain that the face shield gets in the way of their game and makes it harder to keep their eye on the puck, thus, the end product potentially being affected. BUT the face shield in the BIG PICTURE, protects their most vital asset in their profession, their eyesight. Whether they want the face shields or not, wearing them is obviously the smart decision because it protects them. Just like wearing condoms while filming pornography is the smart thing to do because it not only protects you, but it protects those you're fucking. You may not even realize you have an STD (most STD's in males don't even show symptoms)...it might hinder your orgasm, or might not be as visually pleasing, but you know, as a person who is sexually active...how important it is to take care of your sexual health.

I dunno. Maybe I'm biased because I'm female and don't rely on porn to get off. Maybe because I'm somewhat on the "other side" of the fence so to speak being a camgirl. And not that this is particularly relevant, because I don't have to worry about STDs with him, but anytime I'm performing on cam with my husband, I make sure he wears a rubber because we don't want to get pregnant. It might be more visually appealing to the viewer if he goes bareback (and hell, it would feel alot better for us too lol) but I know, that if I got pregnant, my camming would end. And there'd be no Ashleigh for my fans anymore. So....you gotta make sacrifices for the betterment and well being of EVERYONE.

The condoms don't bother me that much personally, and I totally support you or anybody else wanting to use them. I think the difference is people out there demanding that others have to do it whether they want to or not. I just feel it isn't mine, the government's, or anybody else's job to protect other people from themselves.

I don't mind individuals choosing it or even independent bodies like a film studio (or in your example the hockey league) wanting all their performers to use a form of protection. What I don't want, however, is the government coming in and saying that everybody must do it or else.

Well...it depends I guess. In Canada, I can see the government putting laws and regulations on something like that, but because they're in charge of healthcare and its universal. They don't wanna have to pay for something as stupid as pornstars not protecting themself sexually. But in the US its a different case I suppose...I dunno. I think that since transmitting HIV knowingly is a crime, that protecting people against it in all scenarios should be encouraged. I think everyone should jump on board the support train of protecting against diseases that have the potential to wipe through an entire nation. Wouldn't you? I mean, we teach about sexual protection and how std's and hiv are reaching epidemic proportions...isn't it kind of contradicting to say that you don't agree with the government implementing regulations and implementing a system to ensure that people remain protected? Its not even just the pornstars they're worrying about, its the everyday people that these pornstars are having relations with. Pornstars have bfs/gfs/families/random hookups...if a pornstar gets infected, anyone she comes into sexual contact with is at risk as well. So I don't think its something that should be thought of as "contained in an industry"...if an outbreak (such as the recent 16 ppl) occurs...then think that theres 16 people who have the potential to spread this devastating disease. So its not just the pornstars we need to be concerned with, its everyone! You wouldn't go have sex with a random person and not wear a rubber...and they shouldn't either.

I'm not here to argue btw. I just really believe that anything done in an attempt to preserve the health of another person is a good thing and not bad. Even if it looks unattractive to the viewer....its only done for the betterment of everyone out there.

In North America, just how many liberties and freedoms have been choked to death in the name of safety and security? Are the people zombies or sheep that need a hurdle on every path of their life so that they can be pushed towards directions which the good shepherds deem the best?

It seems like religious fanaticism is being replace by legal zeal, where like a theological society every single thing in a human's life must be dictated by someone else.

And we thought we were living in a free society.

No , I'd agree. But this is a bit different. Its not like there are people who are "pro-HIV" out there....so installing regulations into an industry such as this isn't going to really offend anyone except for the odd guy who gets a boner kill because he spies a bit of rubber lol. I mean, its better to implement sexual awareness and protection rather than just ban the creation of pornography no? Not saying it'd go to that extreme, but hey, I can see alot more of the public (the close minded, religious folk) being anti-porn than I'd see the general public being "anti-HIV protection" ya know?

If all porn were condom only i would simply stop watching it, so i guess i´m one of the "odd guys" who don´t like condoms in porn (which i´m guessing in reality is more like 60-70% of the people who watch porn and not just the "odd guy").

I won't boycott no condom porn but I would boycott companies that do not follow proper safety precautions before filming scenes, does anyone know of or have heard of companies that definitely could be raising STD risks, I'm sure there are a good number out there unfortunately
