Believe me, a bottle, a hammer, anything solid in the hands of an enraged person can kill, and a lot quieter than a gun.Some people aren't unused to the mind-numbing blast of ear-ringing sound, the intense flash of light and smoke even a single shot produces, but most people don't fire their weapons that often.And a shot person is very messy...I once fired my .45 auto accidently in my living room...long story, but it was pointed safely while I handled it.I was deaf for a few minutes, then my ears were ringing for quite a while. I was semi-stunned from one closed room shot.

A good argument for getting a suppressor|silencer|can. The reasons for making something that actually makes a gun safer a class III purchase and illegal in some states just doesn't add up. One of the many legal aspects of guns that seems based on Hollywood demonization of guns.

Violence on TV, movies, video games, sports, etc. I definitely doesn't help, but it can all be narrowed down to one thing: parenting. If you teach your kids, if you function as a responsible, active parent, then that part of the "problem" solves itself.

You're not allowed to build bombs for the same reason you should not be allowed to own a gun: there's no need for it. They are too dangerous. Too many people could get killed by them. They could easily fall into the wrong hands. It is easy to kill with guns or bombs.

You have a right to do anything you want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone (which begs the question why any types of porn are illegal). The community has decided that making bombs is too dangerous and unwarranted, so you are not allowed to do it. I believe the same should be said about guns. I think the only fair way to decide whether guns should be legal is to vote on it, every year, and let the people of the USA decide.

What about fireworks or Tannerite... for all intents and purposes, when Tannerite is in a container it's a bomb. What "community" decided they are not allowed? The BATFE community? And still, the laws that govern bomb building are only followed by those who follow all the other laws... so who's it really helping. I personally hate guns and wish they never existed. However, that being said I do believe that it is a person's right to own one if they so choose. Like it was said earlier, if you ban guns you might as well ban cars and almost anything under the sun that you can think of.

Drugs should be legal. The only person they hurt is you. But it should be up to the people, they should vote on which drugs are legal and not. I'd legalize all of them, and I'd never touch one, I guarantee it.

Guns are very easy ways to kill someone without even coming within 20 feet of them necessarily. They are tools designed to kill. They have little other use, and if there is another valid use, it is not essential to our lives. Still the people should vote on whether guns are legal or not. One person's opinion, mine or yours, means nothing compared to what 300 million Americans want. Why does no-one address that simple solution? Vote!

Drugs will never be legal and guns will never be banned...and it's easy to figure out why: money talks.

The booze industry would never allow drugs to be legalized because it'll cost them money and guns will never be banned because it will ruin companies and such up and down the line...they will do whatever the can to ensure their continued survival.

First off, the reason that not everyone should be allowed to vote on everything IS because not all people are equal...you think it's right for people that DON'T have to pay property tax to be allowed to vote on levies that increase them. My taxes have gone up to much already because of school levies, and I don't have kids...but I'm paying for other peoples. Do you think that there won't be votes sold and traded for favors? What about people in this country that ARE NOT citizens? Drugs don't hurt anyone...your a dip shit...my best friend died from an overdose...it still hurts me EVERY FUCKING DAY.
