Assassin Creed III

i ordered it from the gamestop near work. i just got power back here in NJ late last night (thursday) and have not heard a peep from work if there is power or not. i try calling with no answer or busy signal but never to voicemail or to our company closure message. so i have it waiting for me but can't get there to pick it up...IF that gamestop is even open or has power.:******:

The rope-darts are fucking sick. I just run around town, perching on branches and wires, waiting for a guard to string up.

messed around for about an hour or so last night, i am only on the ship coming to boston- i spent most of my time playing the board games on the ship!

It's nearly hard to find a place to hide in Boston when you have full noteriety, I like that. The body count kept rising and then a note saying that I'm in the top 50 ***** (or something like that) in single player popped up on the screen. Even though I love the hidden blades, I find myself using the hatchet more, it's just too sick. I love the rope dart, ***, and I want to incorporate the bow in my weapon use but I'll probably just use it in the Frontier, I can't just stand in town gearing up for a bow shot. Or can I?:suspicious:

i have only completed about 3% of the game and i love it! the craziness is that trying to shoot the guns back then you have to wait like 15 seconds to re-load! that is fun. do i even try to take on & **** the redcoats walking the streets of boston? it seems like a regiment of 8-10 redcoats if going to be tough to beat/****.

It gets hectic, even when you have the countering down, you might miss one or two. It gets even more crazy when a few line up as a firing squad while you're fighting and you have to scramble to find an enemy to use as a shield. So much fun.

Not being sarcastic here: Have you played Assassin's Creed before? Once you figure out the controls, you can take out a group of 10-15 guards without getting touched, it's soooooo fucking awesome. There's a couple of street corners in north Boston where if you pick a fight with redcoats/militiamen, they just keep coming. I think it has to do with the game spawning groups of enemies in that area, and its particularly broad lines of sight. Anyways, you can stand there in the middle of 20-30 of them, constantly fucking them up in tons of different ******** cinematic ways without getting ****** if you're good enough. I did it for about 35 minutes straight the other night. You could barely see the street with all the corpses laying about.

yes i have i played the 1st one. i posted that question before actually trying it... i did it like 3 times yesterday and whipped their asses!! i just thought taking on that many would be tough but it wasn't, do you control the gory ***** or does the game just do that on it's own? like the ***** up thru the neck...or the assassins ***** to the jugular...

Basically, you ****** and defend, You don't specifically decide which **** he does, but you need to have good timing with your blocks/counters/defense breaks to get the really nice *****. Your choice of weapon also figures into the **** animation. Try switching between your hidden blades/*****/tomahawk/war club/rifle/etc. The all have several awesome **** animations in each situation (aerial *****, hidden *****, double *****, double counters, etc).

yeah i have the hang of it now. i gave myself a rule don't mess with the redcoats unless they shove you out of their way.... i try to make sure i stand near ALL of them!! ;)
where do you get the tomahawk & war club? i'm barely 4% into the game. i just saved Mr church the surgeon. i'm not trying to finish this game in a week,i'm taking my time. so if i will eventually find it that is ok.

Without giving away too many spoilers: Sometime in the first 3rd of the game you will become Connor (the guy on the cover and in all the ads), a Native American who is equipped with a tomahawk from the start. I'd recommend just playing through until at least this part because its when the game really starts to take off story wise, and it opens up a lot of non-story things to do (naval missions, homestead missions, faction challenges, hunting challenges, liberation missions, etc) that are fun, and give you plenty of reason to take your time with the main story.

I recommend doing all the naval missions before fully upgrading the ship.
