This simply isn't true. At one point, Big Brother was pulling in 10 million viewers, in a population of 65 million, and the number of votes for evictions also reached those sorts of levels.

You'll find that the population of the UK is circa 60 million. Anyway, you've answered my point which is that if you contend that 10 million watched BB (although I doubt that figure) then 1 out of every 6 persons is a chav.

Yeah, but the 'viewing figures' are a bunch of crap anyway.
They take a selection of random viewers and give them viewing boxes (guessing) so that they can work out an average of who is watching what.. it's all bollocks

I remember a few years ago the system used to calculate the viewing figures was changed and it was discovered that in fact less people were watching the shows.

Hey everyone, I thought I'd try starting a thread about the little differences between countries, so wherever you're from, the US, Brazil, Australia, Europe, anywhere, if you're puzzled by our British ways, or words that mean something else, post here and us UK guys will try to help you out. In return I hope to find out a few things myself, such as what is an English Muffin, and why do the Ozzies say "Ute" instead of pickup or truck. So get posting, let's find out about each other! :glugglug: :wave2:

Probably already been answered....
But a ute is short for utility.
Most of the utes here are based on a platform that also comes as a sedan or wagon.
Like the Holden Commodore or Ford Falcon.
They are the same height as a normal car too.

I noticed that many football (soccer) managers wore red poppies to signify remembrance for WWI?

That is the forgotten war in my country.
